So what was the rumoured price for Moreno? A while back I heard it was about 12ish million, which is a **** of a steal given the scarcity of quality LBs at the moment. Anything up to about 16 would still be a good deal, I reckon.

I think the agreed deal was around 18million, however the problem seemed to be the payment structure with Sevilla wanting nearly all the money up front

I wouldnt mind so much having options such as Sterling, Shaqiri, Sanchez, Sturridge, Lambert, Origi (future)

If we could spend the rest of the Suarez money and budget to strengthen the defence and midfield with the likes of Moreno, a CB and also a defensive mid on the Javi Martinez mould, i would be very happy

But if Suarez does go, we HAVE to get it right with the money. It's essential

Amen, sadly I keep fearing the worst that we will pull a Tottenham and blow it all.. Ignore last message

Know where all the Nazis ran after WWII? Argentina. Know where Argentina's close to? Uruguay. Remember Suarez is a definite and complete racist who hates all racial minorities?

Suarez is confirmed as the grandchild of Hitler.

In all seriousness I'm not entirely convinced that Evra incident was legit case of racism. It may have been a cultural thing. Here in Poland the word Negro, while unfashionable and slowly washed out of use through political corectness, doesn't actually have any negative meaning.

English-speaking world tends to look at everything through its own context. But we didnt' all have colonies or slavery, so the hateful meanings of some words never had a chance to develop.

We definitely shouldn't start this all over again...

Pff. What else are you gonna talk about, transfers that will never happen?! I can tell you right now you'll be beat to all targets by Chelsea in last minute.

Agree, remember reading about this a while back. General consensus was, even if he was supposedly innocent, he was an idiot to use a word which could be construed racist, especially to an opponent.

Well according to SSN any move for Moreno from Liverpool is now off.

Doesnt mean he wouldnt have learnt the concept of the word too/accross other cultures during the time he grew up and time he said it. Ignorance or Idiocy ?

It was a legit case of racism..., a) it was proved so and b) Evra took it that way... if he didn't it wouldn't of got any further.

Seriously...

edit: Never mind let's just drop it. I didn't expect some kind of Spanish Inquisition.

It's this 'siege' mentality that annoys me to no end. When Suarez was embroiled in the racism case, Liverpool players wore those stupid home-made shirts supporting him and saying how he was just this ignorant little boy.

Now, the Uruguyan media are throwing their weight behind him saying how the photo's of Chiellini are photo-shopped and how everyone has it in for Suarez.

I wish people would stop feeding this sense of injustice that Suarez seems to feel everytime he does something wrong. He is so deluded that he thinks everyone is embroiled in a conspiracy against him. It's doing him no good at all

9 game ban + 4 month football ban for Suarez by the looks of it.
