Lot of talk on Swansea fixing to bid for the Welsh Xavi/ Pirlo/ insert funniest name you can tag him with.

Can't believe I'm actually going to say this, but I'm not sure we can afford to let him go, as much as he needs gone, right now.

He's wank. But he's an experienced body wank.

Oh FFS. Just realised if Ward can't play, Caulker can't play Wednesday either.

Frigging archaic FA laws.

Hey, you've got your manager back on the title crusade talk after yesterday.

Which as absurd as that sounds to all intents and purposes, this season, with this league being as **** poor as it is even at the very top end; wouldn't surprise you at all.
Don't think that will happen tho. If Fergie were still manager, we would've wrapped up the title by now.

Oh come on now. You know how I feel about Simon Flapalot, but that goal wasn't on him. Yes, De Gea did get back up, but he only had a floater to defend. Mignolet had a point-blank power volley. No goalkeeper in the world would have saved that. The only person in history who could possibly, maaaaaybe, pull it off is peak Casillas, with his monkey-like agility and superhuman reflexes.

The goal wasn't on him, but that doesn't mean he did all he could. He has no business going to ground in that situation, that's undeniable. And to be fair, I think quite a few goalkeepers could've saved that - not so much because of reaction time and agility, but due to positioning and luck. If you anticipate the rebound instead of diving to the ground when the ball is NOWHERE near the ground, then at least you stand a chance.

But in the end it doesn't really matter who we point the finger at. Mignolet, Lucas, Henderson, or even Klopp. It's pointless, because it's a team problem that's existed for years and the next time it'll be a different scapegoat. Klopp needs to figure this **** out ASAP, because Rodgers sure as **** couldn't. Every team knows now that you only have to get a few set pieces against us, and there's a pretty decent chance of grabbing a goal or two. That's unacceptable.

Unacceptable isn't the word.

If there's one nark I do have with Klopp, it's the continued, amateur B/S every frigging set piece. Are our players that bleedin' dense that they can't take the defensive coaching we know they're now getting on board? And why are we STILL coaching them to have nobody on the posts and every ******* man back the area? For all the game has changed in all sorts of what's, I'd argue with anyone that basic, fundamental principles from a corner haven't if you want to defend them properly. You put men on the posts, mark the runners, and have one if not 2 men ready for the clearance outside your box. Which also forces them to drop 2 or 3 back, in turn limiting the numbers attacking. I's basic defending 1-0-1 that WAY too many coaches get away from today. Ourselves included.

Beyond completely unacceptable for the same, fundamental mistakes to happen game in, year out.

Best get some frigging monster centre-halves in now who are unbeatable in the air ala what he did in Dortmund with the average 'keeper he had there. Presume that's the thinking. Can't even put it down to safeguarding ourselves given the length of contact which undoubtably has a bump in pay.

First mistake ..... scrap that ..... first MAJOR mistake of the Klopp era.

Frigging idiots.

This hurts way more than the United defeat. Sounds ridiculous, but I'm thinking long-term. All our rivals will be rejoicing over this, while most of us are pinching ourselves hoping to wake up. I honestly can't fathom how on earth Mignolet warrants a renewal, he hasn't done ANYTHING to deserve it.

Said it repeatedly on here. Single worst long term 'keeper I've ever had the displeasure of watching in red. He makes ******* Westerveld look secure.

You know something just went terribly wrong, if all the fans of opposing teams are happy that your first squad starter got a raise and contract extenstion.

And all the Liverpool fans are equally upset. I'm browsing three forums at the moment, and I've yet to see a single Liverpool fan express any sort of happiness over this. It's a catastrophe.

Always room for improvement and obviously Klopp sees it in Mignolet.

There's been **** all improvement the last three years from the clown who walked through the door.

That in itself was a jaw dropping joke that we splashed £10 million on him. He went to frigging Sunderland as a back-up and only get his chance when Gordon got the injury. And he's shown repeatedly exactly why he was and is a back-up standard goalkeeper.

******* timing as well Liverpool to drop this 24 hours after a loss to Utd. Excellent frigging PR work there.

The timing of the announcement is an absolute shambles to go on top of the fact the news is even more of a shambles.

Honestly stunned.

How do you reward such outright ******* incompetence for three solid years like that?

All I need now is for Bogdan and Achteburg to get extended and I can set about trying to drink myself into an early grave.
