Would be nice to have Sturridge get a good run now from an England point of view.

Vardy, Kane, Rooney and Sturridge is a very nice selection of players to have up top, even is Sturridge is used sparingly

I guess you blinked in the 67th minute when Valencia was tugged down in the area?
West Ham deserved the win.

West Ham should have got a penalty, but they didn't deserve to win.

Not that it matter because they did win, but Liverpool created 3/4 absolute clear cut chances but just couldn't put them away

Remember a few weeks back when the chances created stat was rubished on here which lead to Sturridge being the major key between being where we are and being top 4 was similar rubished?

Tonight showed yet again had he been healthy, as poor as we've been we'd be up there looking at Leicester instead of ******* around dropping toward the middle of the pack.

Beat forward in the league not named Augero and it's not even close. Just keeping him healthy that's the continuing angst.

God I hope not. Stick with Vardy, Kane and Rooney.

He will go if healthy but he shouldn't. He needs a proper, normal summer of rest and then a proper pre-season. Not having it broken yet again with a tournament.

Cruel game that football. Didn't deserve that at all. But when you don't take chances and concede yet again to your Achilles heal it happens. Real pride night despite the gutting result. Kids outstanding again. Smith is gonna' be a player. Ilori looking more composed than most at the position this year. The non-penalty aside. Stewart solid again. (Disgraceful challenge on him the end the second half.). Tex worked his *** off. Even Ibe was far more direct. Lucas MOTM. Phil getting through what, 70/80 mins? And Sturridge a class above anything on the pitch and still going strong the end. Benteke actually moved today. But he's still *****. His golden misses the difference.

****** off to be out the Cup. Not least in such gutting fashion. But immensely proud of the effort and performance.

But you don't always get what you deserve this game so congrats West Ham.

Thats football.

Now if only the senior pros would play with even half that heart and pride in the shirt Sunday at Villa .....

Couldnt have said it better myself. Despite the foul at the end, Lucas was outstanding wasn't he?

Possibly our our best performance at CB all season

Reminds me of another typical day of FM 15 QQ

So the Liverpool footballers didn't do their job properly, yet they deserved to win?

If a sales person gets a few chances at a sale, yet doesn't close them and complete their sales, should they get a stack of commission and a bonus anyway?

Of course not.

What a silly topic this is... West Ham deserved to win in your eyes, I am more than happy to agree to disagree

The object of the game is to put the ball in the back of the net. The team who achieve this win the game and hence 'deserve to win'.

It's all very easy to understand.

Completely agree Anthony, every team that wins always deserves it

Interesting protest by the Dortmund fans who are also ****** off at ticket prices.
Do you think the Liverpool fans could organise something similar?

I know the pricing structure is different in another country, but the fans are protesting at £17 tickets.... £17!

It gets to a point where they are receiving excellent value for money yet they are still not happy

Like it was said many times, UK is different than most of Europe, because clubs usually pay for the infrastructure themselves.

Meanwhile in Germany, taxpayer Hans funded redevelopment of most of the stadiums for 2006 World Cup. Same thing here in Poland, my city has been pumping my taxes into local top division team for as long as I remember, and Euro2012 arenas are being used by the clubs after the tournament.

So don't read too much into these differences. The ticket prices may be dramatically lower here, but that doesn't mean the money isn't coming out of our pocket through other means.

You're a clown.

I wont admit to knowing much about ticket prices in other country, but £17 sounds good no matter which way I look at it.

Genuine question, what are the supporters looking or expecting to pay?

That was brilliant.

And its already apparently been discussed. ;). Problem would be getting them in the ground to start with.

But it'll be changed up the next protest (lot of talk of the City game next time out at Anfield and then Chelsea/ Everton) if FSG haven't reopened dialogue and made a significant climb down.

Unfortunately, protests and wall outs won't do much. Germany have taxpayer funded everything. For example, the Allianz arena was gifted to Bayern by the German government and they built the rail infrastructure around it. They also have a legally enforced ownership model in Germany where fans must legally own 51% of the club.

Football today isn't comparable since the 70s and 80's. The world's population has expanded by billions, football has gotten more popular and as a result there's more money in football. There are a finite amount of seats and demand has increased by figures of magnitude, therefore ticket prices have risen. The reason TV revenues aren't going to get fans cheaper tickets is that club's want to compete and get the best players for the team. If a club decides to reduce ticket prices, they're automatically put at a competitive disadvantage.

People are protesting at the wrong place. The FA should have allocated a certain proportion of TV money in order to subsidise ticket prices. They have the right to enforce the rules. The issue with walking out is that the tickets are still being bought meaning that you're missing some of the game for no reason. Demand for tickets is so high that even if you decided to stop buying tickets en mass, there will likely be someone else to buy them anyway.

This is how the market works and and you can't state an arbitrary value on too much or too little. The high attendance prove that ticket prices are correct.

Do you work for Liverpool by chance?

Same tired rhetoric. If not apply now. Ayre would be proud to have you on board.

Or if you were being serious I'm even more concerned as I don't think I've seen anyone misunderstand the point as spectacularly as that.
