I know the pricing structure is different in another country, but the fans are protesting at £17 tickets.... £17!
It gets to a point where they are receiving excellent value for money yet they are still not happy
Like it was said many times, UK is different than most of Europe, because clubs usually pay for the infrastructure themselves.
Meanwhile in Germany, taxpayer Hans funded redevelopment of most of the stadiums for 2006 World Cup. Same thing here in Poland, my city has been pumping my taxes into local top division team for as long as I remember, and Euro2012 arenas are being used by the clubs after the tournament.
So don't read too much into these differences. The ticket prices may be dramatically lower here, but that doesn't mean the money isn't coming out of our pocket through other means.
