Call me whatever, but a keeper should never win Balon d’Or. Especially not when attackers are registering 40/50/60 goals per season. Would’ve been a farce if Neuer won it a few years back. I appreciate a world class keeper is invaluable to a side, but we have to remember growing up that 99 times out of 100, keepers are keepers because they’re tall & not very good at football lol. Heck even out on the streets, the fat, **** one went in nets.

Whilst other fanbases currently fret about signings, and invariably see their clubs over-paying in this currently vastly over inflated market out of desperation to try reel in City and L'pool; I'm loving being in such a fantastic position as to not have to be worried on the first-team squad per se with the club in no desperate need/ hurry. Able to sit and wait for who they want whilst quietly adding some of the most sought-after young talent across Europe as they continue to plan and safeguard the future.

Real shift change in European football under the mad German ******* going on at all levels of the football club.

Within a week or so of each other, that's the likes of Ajax, Bayern, Barcelona, City, PSV and Real Madrid beaten to two highly coveted youngsters. We're really positioning ourselves to top the tree/ be one of the most attractive clubs around for top young European talents. (And we're not just talking beating major clubs to the punch on Academy prospects here but young lads who are earmarked across the Continent to be genuine first-team stars.). L'pool are putting the homework in over a duration with the players and their family's to not be in a position like Barcelona and Munich were with van den Berg. Desperately calling him and his agent during his medical at Melwood to try usurp the deal. With a proven track-record of both an open pathway to the first team and platform to becoming a European star there for youngsters. And, if they desire the big money, glamour move to one of Spain's big two at a later date, we've shown we've no qualms in selling them on to let hem fulfil that dream.

Just another side of the market we're currently excelling at.

Loving all the future-proofing of the European Champions going on around the arl place.

Well that's frustrating. Not least for big Shaq with a big sophomore season ahead of him.

But that's football. You find a solution and deal. Next man up and all that.

So on the flip side I love it'll probably give a young lad a bigger chance to impress with the first-team this summer.

No rush Xherdan. Rest up well and fully heal it mate. More than enough games this year for you to get your share again.
 
The Fulham lad it's been widely reported City were heavily interested in him.

But it's all moot when it comes to City and youth as until you start showing that pathway you're not going to be in the market for top youth.

The Sancho mess is all any young player needs to look at.
 
Sure we're not. We've already signed 3 this window, with 2-3 more to go... not counting Angelino coming back who was in the youth team either.

Right. It's wrong. City can compete in that section of the market for any kid out there. Given the track-record you can show in all facets of youth development.

Your first post contradicted your 'proof' with the Fulham lad.

But again, for the third time, there's no anything when you're talking absolute bunkum on City and youth.

And you can 'lol', or put up more dellusion's as much as you want. You aren't changing that. Until the football club changes in that regard. They choose to go a different way around their business which is sound. You attack the market in a different way. It works for what you want out of the here and now. But this corner of the market you're way behind. Why we have to 'pretend' otherwise regarding youth development at City is beyond me.

City really don't have a problem with youth signings or the academy. It's got a record within the industry of "even if you don't break through, you'll almost certainly end up a professional player"

Their youth development is actually staggeringly good

I'm not interested in you wishing me a good evening, you're simply wrong and you can't accept it. It's like this in any situation where Liverpool can't be seen to be coming out on top. It doesn't make you a better red fighting every battle. It does make any conversation fruitless

Sound. Have a bad evening. You're still talking out of your backside. Until they start bringing 2 or 3 into the first-team and opening that path way. Or showing they are willing to sell on to much bigger clubs, they'll always trail behind clubs like L'pool and Utd in that corner of the market.

Thats... not the sole criteria of youth development. That's certainly not what academny coaches talk about in terms of strength and progression
 
Christ knows why I'm replying after you went down the school yard route but pray tell why you'd remotely think it was? Or what relation it has to the overall point on City lagging behind other clubs when it comes to youth development.
