Morning,

European Cup semi-final day! Outside of other finals, only one game in football is bigger than this and that’s the one we’ll be contesting at the end of May in gay Paree.

After a quick head count, I make this my 6th European Cup semi. And third under Jurgen. With a slew of UEFA Cup/ Europa League ones and a Cup Winners Cup semi in there to boot.

We are beyond privileged to have been born a Red and follow this ridiculous football club.

And the excitement doesn’t get ANY less each and every one. Absolutely buzzing for tonight and reminding Villarreal just WHAT Europe is ALL about under the European lights at a wild Anfield. You’ve had a great run lads, but now you are up against the best of the best on a whole other level to anything else you’ve faced. In an atmosphere you’ll never of heard the like of. The Europa semi was special. But this is the proper big one!

All the best with that. Enjoy your visit.

Is it 8 PM already?

Is it just me, or does the Anfield pitch look a little low rent tonight?

Once the first went in it was only a matter of how much. Rest them up for Saturday so we can down the Newcastle regime.

When I said we had the easiest possible route to Paris you could handpick, I wasn't joking-

Today's/ Yesterday's Admin-

Current Unbeaten Run All Comps-
11 games: W 9 D 2 F 26 A 8 CS: 7.

4 straight wins all comps/ 3 straight CS.

First off, as much as nothing will convince me otherwise that we are in Paris May 28 already, the best thing about last night wasn't Klopp's Red machine purring at full optimum as they have been for the last handful of games now, but Sean C ox being back at Anfield for another European Cup semi. 😍 In much happier circumstances than the last time. It's been absolutely superb that the football club continues to keep in touch and offer all the support the family needs. So to see him back as a guest of LFC, supporting his life passion outside of his faith and family, to see that passion reach yet another European Cup Final, was beyond heart warming.

You'll ALWAYS be part of your extend family Sean. Keep fighting mate. There's gonna' be MANY more superb memories like last night to come yet from Jürgen and his boys. 🍻 😍

As for the absolute garbage in yellow on the park last night .....

I swear down that's the worst CL semi final team I've ever seen. There's absolutely ZERO chance we lose to them next week. Let alone lose the tie. F knows how Bayern and Juve managed that? Man have those two giants fallen off a cliff on last nights evidence. No wonder the worst United shower in living memory beat them twice in the groups. As brilliant a game as L'pool played, we never had to get out of second gear and the only disappointment was that we eased right off the gas at 2 or else they'd have had the 4/5 goal walloping they deserved. And God help them at home if they have to come out and try attack with that defence and a goalie that makes Mignolet look competent behind them.

Bang average team full of North London rejects and then some. Yeah, L'pool have to talk the second leg up as still being alive, And the media will for viewing figures et al. But this tie is DONE and we are in Paris for our 10th European Cup Final. Which is just a ridiculous number when you look at it in black and white.

I'm SO confident of that, that I'm seriously considering taking the loss on travel costs and saving by not going out next week. We don't fly out to Alicante until Monday so I've time to decide. But when we booked Paris the other week, I wasn't expecting that to be as pricey as it was. (With what we're doing, the flights have jumped up over a £100 since and the train from Amsterdam is going up. In just over a week and a half. Not to mention the hotel rooms we booked when it was switched to Paris are now triple the price. With very few rooms centrally left. So if you haven't booked, get it boxed NOW before it get's even worse over the next week.). So last night has given me the perfect excuse to be sensible for once and jib out of Villarreal. We'll see. But I'm seriously swaying that way.

All that said about how poor Emery's side are, L'pool are now in prime, purring form. I honestly don't think we aren't not winning every game of football left to play this season. The ONLY thing that can stop us reaching football perfection, in my humble opinion, is if City match that and win out too in the league. And if that happens, then you just have to tip your hat and applaud them for being that smidgen better over 38 games once again. And we'll settle for what would be our third treble winning season.

Getting hard to signal out individuals when the team performance was so effortlessly good yet again, but Thiago was different level gravy again last night. He's the only current midfield player in the league that is remotely on the same level as De Bruyne. And man alive are both ourselves and City fans privileged to be able to watch them every week at their current, stupendous level of play. Along with all their compadres.

And for someone who is perceived to be off form, Mo Salah now has 2 goals and 4 assists through his last 5 games. And that level of production is now with getting 2/3 men on him every game! The more he's being ignored by the mediots and general public at large, the more he's quietly doing his thing to devastating effect for the whole team.

Roll on Saturday dinner and putting the Suadi *****, who've played absolutely nobody during their current run, FIRMLY back in their box to heap the pressure back onto City in the later game.

8 more wins to football perfection immortality. (Well, 7 as we no longer have to win in Villarreal. But we will. COMFORTABLY!.).

Up the Paris bound Reds! FTT!!!!!

Proper made my night when he was introduced to raucous applause before the match. 😍😍😍😍😍😍

Support Sean ***

Sean was delighted to be back at Anfield for the first time in over two years to watch his beloved Liverpool FC’s 2-0 win against Villarreal
😁
.

The “red” carpet was rolled out for Sean and Martina by many of his LFC heroes, with Jürgen Klopp, Kenny Dalglish and Virgil van Dijk all dropping by to welcome Sean back to his happy place

No surprise to anyone of a Red persuasion, but still, 😍😍

I guess you was right when you said don't be surprised if he renews. I fully did not expect this, absolutely ******* over the moon.

‘Over the moon’ is an understatement mate. Thursday’s don’t get ANY better than this. 🍻

If I were a betting man, I’d say Mo won’t be too long following him.
