It's been an absolute masterstroke from Jürgen and his team moving Sadio centrally. It's taken what looked like a fast dying Reds career to not only giving him a complete new lease of life. But finding, whether by design or accident, something that didn't seem possible across World football. A Bobby replica.
This all smacks of when still the greatest natural talent I've ever seen in red, Johnny Barnes, moved inside after his devastating injuries that robbed him of his pace. And reinvented himself into a top class playmaker in the middle who never gave the ball away. And now you have Sadio, who, whilst still being more than good enough to play at our ridiculously high level, has notably lost that burst of pace he had to stand players up and leave them for dead, which was badly effecting his play out on the wing to the point, by his own admission, he was seeing every specialist he could to try work out what was wrong with his body and why his game was SO off.
