Manchester City FC can confirm that it has today received a reprimand and a CHF 370,000 fine following the decision of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee concerning the international transfer of players under the age of 18, particularly in relation to their trial periods and participation in friendly games.

The Club accepts responsibility for the breaches which arose as a result of misinterpretation of the regulations in question. All of the breaches occurred before December 2016 when guidance on the interpretation of the provisions was issued, since which date Manchester City has been fully compliant.

The Club regards highly and shares FIFA’s determination to ensure the protection of minors in football and has cooperated fully with the investigation which has been transparent and evidenced based at all times.
 
Drama at the end there. Am I the only one that thinks the new handball rule when it comes to goals absolutely stupid. Laporte is stooping in for the header there I mean its an accident that it hits his arm. All these new rules seem so daft to me.

hits the defender as well, but a headlock on a corner is fine... rules are all over the place with this at the min.

tbh although daft I can understand the rule for the handball pertaining to goals but the one last week for the offside sets the wrong precedent for me. To call an offside when Sterling has no advantage being 2mm in front (armpit offside really??) is just nonsense.
 
I think even UEFA's own referring committee doesn't understand handballs anymore.
 
on the plus side, we look off the pace, and ******* mullered the team most have down as 3rd. can only be a good thing. wonder what odds i can get on us putting 10 past someone this year.

As long as KDB stays fit and that laser of a peg of his is around I wouldn't be surprised.
