The Manchester United Thread

zlatan is a class act,no question. The only thing i could criticise him for besides the mings incident is that at times he is a little too fancy with his finishing but some of the things he does is pure class and it rubs off on others around him.For me martail is far more frustrating, dont get me wrong hes got bags of ability but doesnt show enough for me and needs to step up.

Yeah been frustrated with Both Martial and Rashford at times this season. But not gonna get on at them tbh. Most probably a bit of second season syndrome and the fact neither has had consistent runs for long periods. Ad to that how Mourinho wants his wife men to play. Expect big things of Martial next season. Rashford needs a little longer as he's younger and been thrown in the deep end and in a team in consistent chopping and changing.

Call me a troll because I don't blindly support a finished manager. Still can't disprove any of my points

Yeah I don't have give an explanation to anyone, but I did in the Liverpool thread, having warned him. Every time he's posted in the last 6 weeks the thread has ended up in petty arguments for large stretches and it's ridiculous. The matter is deemed closed until imauser and I revisit it. Like I said, ball will be in Scouse's court

Won't you like to see Rashford more often in the STR position? Maybe some matches or minutes giving Zlatan some rest and using other players like Young on the wing. Atleast for this season.

ok just seen the table 2 off pool but we have a game in hand so my last post about having to win the ul to get cl looks like i was talking **** that is all

I was wondering if Zlatan moving on in the summer would be the best thing for United. I know he has scored 25 goals this season but his form for long periods has been questionable. Watching you guys play you create so many chances yet can't score for toffee and how much of that is down to Zlatan. According to big chances missed this season Zlatan leads the table with 17 more than double the chances missed compared with Lukaku, Aguero, Firmino all on 8 big chances missed. The whole system seems to be catered to playing to Zlatan strengths and when he doesn't turn up it falters. He doesnt run the channels, he doesn't press and his touch and finishing at times are questionable. On the flip side where would you be without his goals, I think you're next top scorer is Mata with 5 or 6 and the rest of your forward line don't even have 5 league goal. Zlatan is a goal scorer but I feel the lone forward has evolved more than just putting the ball in the onion bag.

Typically, mourinho caters his system around his strikers.

Ideally yes but he's not ready to lead the line for us yet. His hold up play is near non existent and his touch is a bit iffy at times. Will come with age and once he's fully developed as a man the hold up side. And his touch with more training and experience.

I agree but with the number of chances, Zlatan has missed he could honestly have had 40 goals already this season. Especially in games where if he isn't playing well or missing chances, no one else is ready to step up.

"Manchester United's Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Bournemouth defender Tyrone Mings have been charged with violent conduct by the Football Association. Both players have until 18:00 GMT on Tuesday to reply to the charge."

Utds u23 just beat Sunderland 1-3. Goals from Mitchell, Redmond, Mc Tominey. Huge win to help keep us from getting relegated.

Arent they champions? or was that the season before?
Was last season we won it. But with players sold, released, loaned the sides been ripped to peaces. Also the restructuring of the staff and having no manager for most the season hadn't helped. No real quality in the u23s apart from Tuanzebe, Poole, Mitchell but he's coming off a huge injury lay off. The only other decent players are Willock, Harrop, Kehinde. All our major talent is in the u18s and lower.

TOD, can we keep this kind of stuff to the rumours thread please?
