Is that really a punch? The way Guidetti reacted you would think he got shot. But then again he is a former cheating Blue and his comments about 'Making Manchester look Blue after this game', along them lines now look very silly!

Well, call it however you like, but he did swing twice in 20 seconds. First at Guidetti, and second time at Rocaglia.
Both Guidetti and Aspas are really sad. You can tell they played for City and L'pool.

Also Blind challenge was never a red card. He got the ball, then the player. And foot was on the ground. Yellow yes, but thats all.

Here's the incident. He pushed Guidetti, Bailly threw the punch. I clearly missed what Valencia did, can someone tell me?

from another angle you can see Valencia clearly pushing him to the ground quite forcefully, but it wasn't anything major tbh. I do think it was a red for bailey, even though it was one knuckle that grased guedetti's earlobe, he did raise his hands wether he intended to hit him or not. However the Vigo player should get a massive ban.

He was forcibly pushed over by Valencia. What do you expect him to do? Stay on his feet?

And I don't get what you think you'd be appealing on Bailey? He throws his arm at two separate players. The referee got both sending offs correct but go zero help from any of his assistants and missed Valencias shove.

If you aim a punch you don't land it on the ear, it's not like he threw it with force to be that inaccurate either.

Diego Costa does worse things every game, pinching, spitting and kicking players in that spot. That push was a little harder that it should be, but in my opinion, never a red for that.

Conversely, nearly 2 weeks with no competitive footie isn't good preparation at all for a major final either.

Maybe, but if it goes the distance I'd back them to be a lot fresher than us. Even if we can rotate a lot for these next 3 league games, we'll still be playing first team players somewhat used in the final.

He's selling this narrative of (unfair) extra games and a thin squad well to you guys isn't he?

When in truth it's no different to any other successful team at this stage of a European season, like ever; along with having a group as deep as anyone's to play with even with the absentees.

It's like you don't even understand why these rules are in place, anything that *looks* remotely violent is off limits, the powers that be wants this to be a PG13 sport. Zidane didn't exactly do anything dangerous to Materazzi either but it was still a red, why, because it looked violent.

Nope. Haven't seen any post match interviews. Just replying to your comment. I thought we had the advantage against Southampton with us playing regular football as opposed to them having a fortnight off, but it wasn't the case, one team was very fresh, sharp, well prepared, the other was a bit heavy legged.

That said, Ajax don't have an advantage nor disadvantage in this situation, as we can just rest the majority of our players for the last few league games. So pretty much same boat.

Utd have been very unimpressive and squeaked through the last three rounds all told. But that's ultimately all that matters in straight knock-out footie. The result. Not the performances. And in a one-off final anything can happen. Whole new ball game when it's on the day.
