The Manchester United Thread

Comedy gold penalty conceded from that Swedish fella' nobody can spell and Utd don't trust.

Somehow tried to flip it over his own head and hit his arm that was stuck up above said head.

Holland only need the 6 goals now.

Holland actually looked decent last night when they put Blind in midfield, which meant there was actually someone passing " looks at Ghost Wini" shame its come far, far too late

Noted a few times on the Pool thread. Simply doesn't do enough on the ball for a CM

He has the involvement in build up of a #9. View attachment 80843
Saying all this he'll probably score a 1/100 screamer at the weekend lol

Hadn't even seen the pass map, but that simply reinforces what I've been seeing from Holland.

The ultimate passing country (yes more so than Spain), with their passing in near tatters

Manchester United

Zlatan Ibrahimović, Marcos Rojo and Marouane Fellaini ruled out.

Liverpool

Ádám Bogdán and Sadio Mané ruled out. Nathanial Clyne and Adam Lallana doubtful.

When are people going to accept he's an established, excellent RB? He's no longer this risky makeshift full back that we're waiting to be exposed or something. Hard to beat 1v1, engine up and down the wing, and a good outlet.

In fairness, good to see LFC fans rubbish the article in comments beneath it.

Jose Mourinho ready to sign new £65m five-year deal at Old Trafford

Mourinho has impressed at Manchester United since replacing Louis van Gaal and signing a three-year deal in 2016.

MANCHESTER UNITED want to tie down Jose Mourinho to a new £65million five-year deal.

And the Red Devils boss is ready to sign — and make his time at Old Trafford the longest tenure of his career.

Mourinho, 54, is the best-paid manager in world football alongside his Manchester City counterpart Pep Guardiola, with both earning £250,000 a week.

This basic wage will stay about the same but the Portuguese’s incentive package for trophies and league positions is set to rocket.

The final details are still to be agreed. Mourinho initially signed a three-year deal in the summer of 2016.

Despite the United board being convinced they had the right man, both sides were happy with the length of that contract to see how everything progressed.

But United chiefs have been hugely impressed with the way Mourinho has turned the club around in less than a year-and-a-half.

Last season he made a huge connection with the United fans.

And he also claimed two major honours in his first season, the EFL Cup and Europa League.

United are currently joint top of the Premier League with neighbours City.

I think Mourinho is doing good so far, especially this season, but I don't like giving such long contracts when only like one and a bit years into a three year contract at the moment?

Just adds more pressure imo at this stage, we can worry about that at the end of the season, lets not forget that we haven't really achieved anything yet.

While I agree there isn’t really a huge rush. The sooner talks starts the better. And to say we haven’t really achieved anything yet isn’t true. 3 trophies in his first season. Nearly built and completed a balanced side in his own style in 2 summers. And a huge improvement in the football we are playing, especially this season.

How exactly does it add any pressure?

More to the point, why anyone, let alone a 'football fan', would even look at that **** poor excuse for a paper, let alone keep linking anything from the low life POS, is beyond me.

But people never fail to surprise.

Tbh they are just late reporting what the Telegraph, Guardian, Times have already reported over the last 3-4 weeks.
