The Manchester United Thread

Not that I dont like him as a player, but he's far from being first team material for someone like United. And United have its share of promising young players. He's probably going to be a good player, if not more, but I hope United is looking for more established players. In next few years, yeah if he continues to grow. But for now, United have similar options.

He did an interview with ESPN, he grew up watching man u and Rooney was he fav palyer. so been linked every window since pretty much.

Ye I've heard he's United fan. I guess thats enough for the media to make links. After all, they have to write about something.

Its crazy if the wages are true that are rumored. Is there even been a wage over 300k perweek in PL? 450k perweek would be huge.

A lot of bitter journos out there and articles with figures that don't add up and are going up by the hour seemingly.

What did they before Pogba? 250k and probably more. Turns out it was like 180 a week.

Don't get me wrong, we will give players big wages, but we're one of the best run clubs out there, we're not stupid like these journalists who half of them can't even add up correctly in their own articles.

I think his marketability is a factor for clubs wanting him as well, he is probably already the best American player and despite them not getting to the world cup is well known. I know some US friends who went to Dortmund just to watch him play, whoever signs him will get a good player and probably a huge new legion of US fans and therefore sponsorships

Future Galatico written all over him,

Jose Mourinho has told #MUTV that @BlindDaley will miss Saturday's game v Burnley with a minor injury: http://manutd.co/Bkw

Jose on @LukeShaw23: “Luke has done very well recently, played very well. I’m really happy with him. I can say in this moment, I don’t see many left-backs better than Luke Shaw.” #MUFC

Mourinho on whether Mkhitaryan will be selected
“No, not selected. But in very good condition, training really well and in good conditions like the others.”

"Sanchez Deal is not quite done. But it's clear we're in for him. But tomorrow I switch off and focus on Burnley" Mourinho#MUFC

Jose on @Anto_V25 to #MUTV: “He's our captain, he's what I call a silent leader. But on the pitch he shows his experience, his desire to win, and of course, the goal with his left foot was a miracle. But his performances are not a miracle at all – he is a very good player.” #MUFC

"My contract ends July 2019. I know the club is happy and I am happy. But there's plenty of time" Mourinho#MUFC

Mkhi resorted to tears saying goodbyes to teammates. Usually I'd say harden the **** up, you're going to another club to get paid more money, not going to jail, but I can't help but feel for the little Armenian.

Wanted him to come good so bad. All the best at Arsenal, should it go through smoothly. There's a top player in there, just didn't work out for him here.

Yeah was well excited when we signed him especially after watching him regular at Dortmund. And tbh he’s not been a complete flop. Scored some cracking goals for us and had good games. Was a key part in our EL campaign scoring key match winning goals. Good luck to the lad I say!

Still ****** off at the Rose challenge that stopped form that was only being matched by a select few in the league, last Xmas. But no excuses this season, he had so many opportunities, was just playing with 0 & decreasing confidence levels.

Agree. You can see he’s trying but he’s trying to hard. And things as simple passes and crosses are going miles astray.

Given Jose's recent record with selling attacking players, he'll probably rip **** in Arsenal.
