The Manchester United Thread

Put a **** of a lot of weight back on too and due to train with Scotland squad. Going to get a **** of a reception in his first match back that's for sure. Love these sorts of stories after all the gloom and tragedy we've been hearing.

@Godcubed and Joel - you have no idea you much I hate you right now :@ :'(

One good news for our cm spot that we did not rectify whole summer.

When fully fit and on form, we dont need to fill that spot if Fletcher is playing. That's the next step, we know he is coming back, but how good will he be?

”That I am feeling sad and have expressed this sadness has created a huge stir. I am accused of wanting more money, but one day it will be shown that this is not the case. At this point, I just want to guarantee to the Real Madrid fans that my motivation, dedication, commitment and desire to win all competitions will not be affected. I have too much respect for myself and for Real Madrid to ever give less to the club than all I am capable of. Abrazos to all madridistas.”

Basically confirming he wants to go back to Man Utd and play under Ferguson one last time ;)
jk.

Maybe he's just bored of life in spain.

He didn't celebrate his two goals on the weekend either. Any news of what's happening at Real Madrid to make him "sad"?

There are different stories on why he is, one says he dislikes Marcelo after the latter said Casillas would be a better choice than Ronaldo for the Ballon D'Or, another said he is unhappy because he asked the president (I think) to have a minute's silence for his father's death anniversary (which is simply stupid) which was obviously turned down.

I don't know about anyone else but I am getting fed up of all these facebook polls that 60% of fans thinking Ronaldo will be leaving Real. It's not going to happen

The polls are stupid because we don't know why he's upset, not because him leaving wont happen.
If he's tired of life in spain, then the likelihood that he'll leave will be high.
If he just wants more money, then it'll be 50/50.

Man Utd's Wayne Rooney: I want to eventually drop into midfield - ESPNFC

Been saying this for years :) **** yeah! about time! even now with Wellie, Chicho and RVP, Rooney is the new Scholes.. been waiting to see this for about 3 years now! I normally retrain Rooney to Cm anyway in my games :P

I see him as being more than capable to play in that position, especially in the future, but It seems a bit of a waste of his strengths. As the deeper forward in a split pair, There are few if any better than Rooney. As a midfielder, there are many better.

Guardiola has 'held talks over succeeding Fergie at Man United'

Pep_Guardiola_1.jpg

Sir Sir Alex Ferguson has met Pep Guardiola in New York to discuss the possibility of the Spaniard succeeding him as Manchester United manager next summer, according to reports in Spain. Ferguson will turn 71 on New Year's Eve and there are questions as to how long his 26-year reign at Old Trafford can continue. And El Mundo Deportivo has claimed that Ferguson met Guardiola in New York this summer to discuss a potential succession plan.

Guardiola is taking a break from football following his stunningly successful four-year spell in charge of Barcelona, but the newspaper claim that Ferguson wants the 41-year-old to return to management at Old Trafford.

And they report that Ferguson is planning to step down this summer after his attempt to wrestle the Premier League trophy back from Manchester City, with Guardiola his preferred replacement.
