The Manchester United Thread

I can't accept it. Sorry :P

Well you don't have a choice alright? :P

You take the young, upcoming manager who will do well for you, and we'll keep david and keep discovering gifted youngsters to build the team around-including quality CM's ;)

I think Guardiola is much more likely because of the amount of success he has in Europe and in La Liga. David Moyes is a fantastic manager and has done a very good job with Everton, but they probably want a manager with proven success in Europe as well as the domestic league.

Pretty much my way of thinking tbh. If we hadn't been knocked out when we last made CL who knows what might have happened. But Pep is better choice in my eyes

Appears not. Which makes me happy :)

Me too :D, I want Fergie's successor to have experience at a title run-in and won cup finals. This is by no means a dig at Moyes who is top class but Man Utd's next manager should be Mourinho/Guardiola/Lennon....

Depends though.... Do you want your next manager to emulate Fergie in the sense that he stays at United for the long-term and builds a legacy?

If yes then Moyes should be the target not Pep

Who's to say Pep won't stay for a fair while? It will take him a while to implement his style on the squad and achieve everything like he did with Barca and even then he is no Mourinho anyway (2-3 seasons then leave), he would no doubt be a long-term solution.

Many a source inside OT has stated Giggs as SAF's successor. Giggs and GNev, thank you please.

No way, Giggs and Neville have no managerial experience, don't be silly. As much legends they are, it would be a stupid risk, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is more likely than them.

Neil Lennon? I hope that occurs.

T'was Alex himself in an interview not too long ago. Says Giggsy has the knowledge of the club, respect and personality to take over at OT, of course maybe not straight away but eventually. Anyway... Pep > Mourinho > Jesus

lol Was joke intended. Supplied silly smilly faces which havent seemed to appeared!

Winning a league in Norway with strong financial backing is no more or less experience than Giggs and GNev have.

It is when you realise Molde have never won it in their history until he did it, playing football not too far off United's style. Easily ahead of Giggs and Neville

Being a successful manager is no more or less managerial experience than someone who's never been a manager?

If that's the case, I might send in an application form.
