Man of the Match, @BCFC debutant Tahith Chong Won 8/11 duels 7 tackles (5 more than any player) 5x possession gained 3 shots Birmingham win 1-0 in their opening @SkyBetChamp game for a 3rd successive season

First Women’s pre season friendly just finished 2-2 against Liverpool. Typical rusty slow paced friendly with a million subs.

We looked good in the 1st half with more first teamers out going in at HT with a 2-1 lead with goals from wingers Hanson and Galton.

We actually look to have a stronger squad but weaker starting 11 atm hopefully a couple more top first team signings come in. Toone and Russo, Battle were big misses as they have been playing in the Olympics.

There is confidence that Varane’s medical, signing and announcement can be officially completed on Wednesday, which would then allow him to train with the team on Thursday/Friday, opening up the possibility that he could feature in #MUFC’s matchday squad in season opener vs Leeds

He will probably leave it until mid October/November to really decide, so he can wait to see what Riaola can negiotiate with the likes of Real, PSG, and Juve (I would say Barca but looking at the mess they are in it is unlikely they could afford to sign even the likes of Phil Jones over the next few seasons).

Barcelona do find themselves in quite the pickle. Even if Messi agreed to play for free, their wage budget still exceeds the league cap. They're looking to ship the likes of Griezmann and Coutinho (the former is on 800k a week btw) out anyway possible but the thing is they would want to still play UCL football. No decent CL side would want to sign either, especially for those crazy wages.

They can't even register Depay or Aguero 😂

Wow that’s some loan fee!

Aston Villa agreed to pay a total of 6 million pounds in their deal to sign Axel Tuanzebe on a season-long loan from #MUFC

U23 beat Sheff Wednesday 4-2

Iqbal, Mellor, Shoretire (pen) and Hannibal scored.

Hannibal is on something seriously. What a player

Comes on while they're 1-2 down - no problem
- Side of foot assist for Mellor: 2-2
- Wins Penalty for Shoretire: 3-2
- Scores top corner banger from outside the box giving the keeper no chance:

  • Garner will leave on loan once he signs a contract extension.
  • Garner has lots of control over his destination.
  • Along with Forest, both Stoke and Derby are also interested.
  • Garner's open to a Forest return
