The Manchester United Thread

Manchester United can confirm that Fred has completed his transfer to Fenerbahce, subject to international clearance.
The Brazil international will make the switch to the Turkish Super Lig, after he successfully underwent a medical and agreed personal terms.
Our no.17 flew out to Istanbul on Saturday, in order to take his medical tests, following the initial announcement that an agreement for the move had been reached between Fenerbahce and United on Friday.

The midfielder joined the club in the summer of 2018, from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk, and has racked up 213 appearances in total for the Reds.
Of his 14 goals, one of the highlights came this year when his strike drew us back on level terms against Barcelona, as we knocked the Catalan giants out of the Europa League.
He appeared in the Emirates FA Cup final against Manchester City, after helping us lift the Carabao Cup earlier in the campaign, and his most recent outing was in the friendly win over Lyon in Edinburgh.
A tenacious and energetic player, Fred played in both attacking and defensive midfield roles for United during his time with the club and became popular with fans for his committed approach.
The 30-year-old leaves so many positive memories from his time at Old Trafford, where he has been a hugely popular individual, both as a person and as a player.
Everybody at the club would like to wish the very best of luck to Fred for the future.

Rak-Sakyi for Palace scored 15 goals on loan in League One last season. Very good player

Chris Richards is a €12m signing (2022) from Bayern, he was on the bench for their PL opener. Nine PL appearances last season, ten caps for the US national team already. Played ten times for Bayern's first team and 34 for Hoffenheim on loan.

Will be a tough test!

1-0 Utd after 20 mins. Great run by Mejia after a nice bit of skill takes him past the FB. FB then brings him down in the box trying to win the ball. Mejia puts the peno away.

FT Palace 3-2 United.

Good opening 55-60 minutes from United, probably the right result in the end as Palace were much better in the second half. We had the chances in the opening half to take a bigger lead and we paid for missing those opportunities in the end, as it often happens.

Good performance from Collyer. Nothing spectacular but kept it ticking with very good passing and movement all game.

Emeran the other obvious standout for me.

Shoretire underwhelming. Has all the talant but no consistency and his ability to switch off for long periods and make easy things look hard is frustrating

Greenwood decision likely Sept int break now according to Whitwall. Womens team are happy for him to have a chance, gaming sponsors are starting to add him back to their rosters and adidas have had no backlash when consulting about his return. Also ETH is very open to his return

For the craic...
3-1 United.
Rashford - Mount - Garnacho
Neto to lob Onana

Please don't tell me I'm going to spend all season watching our keeper dwelling on the ball for half the match looking for the perfect pass.
