whats the point when the yanks still have the final say utter pointless
Clearly the yanks see this as a good piece of business (they had to approve the move as the 'sale' hasn't been cleared yet), in terms of get the sports side firing and winning things regularly then the money will flow into their pockets.

Yeah I think some are confused mate. Joel only has the final say during the completion process and even then he still has to consult Ratcliffe. After the completion process is over Ratcliffe will have full control over the football side of things. Obviously major decisions (budgets) will have to be agreed upon by the board which will be Joel, Avram, SJR, Brailsford, Blanc. But pretty much most footballing side of things will be decided on by SJR. It just makes sense for him to do it in agreement with the yanks to keep a health relationship and avoid major friction at board level. From reading this was an Ineos appointment that they ran by Joel as a curtacy
