Manchester United prioritising Benjamin Sesko. 22yo now preferred option for #MUFC + informal contact made with RB Leipzig. Slovenia int’l also remains top target for Newcastle United: #NUFC pursuit continues but United now thought favourites @TheAthleticFC
 
If Sesko signs you can pretty much predict our starting 11 for the season now unless the GK changes which Ducker seems to think could still happen.
 
It’s good we have added a load of gls and assists to our team hopefully the form transfers over into the new season with us. That’s about 60gls, 25assists in all comps last season with those 3. That was easily our biggest problem last season.
 
Happy I got up and watched that this morning at 2:30. Only pre season so not getting carried away but we absolutely ran Bournemouth ragged total domination on all fronts. And without Cunha and Embuemo in the squad.

One thing I’ve noticed so far in the first 3 games. Played 3 premier league teams and in all 3 matches we have absolutely looked miles ahead in terms of fitness and sharpness which is pleasing going into the new season.

Also good to see the players talk in the interviews about how together the squad is and more together now the stragglers and noise makers aren’t around anymore.

Rubin confirmed after the match also that he brought in his old attacking coach that left him and went to PSG 2 weeks ago. So let’s see if we notice any improvements in that aspect. Could definitely see more one two touch passes the last 2 friendlies. Still a bit sloppy at times forcing things but we’ve looked dangerous so far.

Hopefully we can see Mazzaroui, Zirkzee, Mbuemo, Cunha in the squad for Everton on Sunday.

Good news that Martinez will be fit after the first international break.

I have a feeling that the club may surprise a few of the cynics who have been poking fun at the club. They may not do the double (after all the Portugese league is less competive) but they definitely won't be finishing as badly 15th.

Yeah you’re right mate. He got rid of quite a few big names and best players as well. And cleared out about 11 players in his first summer. Started working with a more smaller and together squad.

Yeah this relegation talk by oppo fans is funny lol even if it is **** taking more than seriously. Would be happy with getting into the Europa places and having some good cup runs. 5ths possible but gonna be very tough. More together squad, proper pre season, new signings and one game a week will help

Yeah I would be happy to keep Hoijlund tbh. Hes definitely got potential and he’s improved on a couple of things I’ve noticed in pre season ( wrestling with CBs ) having Sesko him and Odi that would be good for the upcoming season

That’s the problem when you have a **** season and are only playing once a week. You don’t need 30 plus players throughout the season. Hopefully 1 game a week will see a reduction in injuries. If not the academy is there for a reason.
