The Manchester United Thread

Starting 11. Pretty much the team I would of guessed all things considered.

Disappointment in the result but definitely not the performance. Played Arsenal off the park pretty much dominated them in every facet. Game decided by 2 keepers. A clanger cost us a goal. And there GK got motm.

A typical game then. Play the opposition off the park and it's decided by a keeper's mistake. It makes you wonder why they haven't gone all in for a solid dependable keeper after getting the forward line sorted. On a positive note at least that Goyker fella didn't score.
Not really typical can’t remember us dominating anything last season lol definitely not like that. But yeah very disappointing to have a GK cost us. But very encouraged anyways.

Hard to bring in a GK when we still have 3 on the books. Bayindir no one wants for obvious reasons . And Onana is injured and on silly wages so will be hard to shift.

Hopefully we can bring a couple more on before the window closes. And get rid of the rest Amorim doesn’t want around.

Gykores is gonna get eaten alive by Prem league defences. It will take him a week to find his way out of De Ligts pocket 😁 he’s certainly not gonna be a title decider for them.

There were large portions of the match where we looked very dangerous, but disappointingly toothless, particularly after our recent signings.

Defence/GK is still a glaring issue that needs to be addressed.

It's one match... Let's see what happens.

Yeah we definitely missed having that vocal point when crosses were getting into the box and when we got int good positions at times no one was in the middle. Cunha was class. Ebeumo doesn’t look fully fit yet which is encouraging.

Thought the defenders played well but the GK is a major problem. Also Casemiro in CM is. He was good on the ball but doesn’t have the legs.

Best I've seen you play in years I must admit. Cunha was my ideal target if Isak wasnt first choice. He was outstanding and instantly raises your attack. The goalkeeper should be the first thing you sorted in the summer for me. Even a steady eddy in-between the sticks should do for now.

Yeah Cunha is an absolutely fantastic signing. With him Embemo and Sesko i have confidence we will have a better season for sure and feel with one game a week we can get European footy either being Europa or Europa conference league this season. Yeah not gonna lie GK worries me. Also still think we need an athletic partner for Bruno.

On another subject. I know we lost but how the heck did Dorgu and Mbeumo only get 1 point and 2 points respectively. Both were class.

Ok maybe not dominating in that respect but more a case of having the majority of the possession and ending up with nowt! It is however, hilarious hearing all the comments from the Arsenal fans about gaining three points and how amazing the header was for the goal the truth was they were lucky and they don't want to admit it.

You say there is no interest for Bayindir but the rumoour mill says otherwise, he is still highly regarded in Turkey and if one of those teams decides to take a risk for a couple of million (he isn't going to bring in £5m to be honest) or even a loan then he will be gone. There is still time in the window.

Totally agree on Gykores he may have played for Amorin in the past but clearly he wasn't too bothered about bringing him to the club, yes he has experience of English football from Coventry (when were they last in the top division?) and Swansea (he was also at Brighton but never made the first team) but until yesterday he had never experienced the Premier league. I hae a feeling it may take him longer than a week to find his way out of the pocket...
Delusional mate. Great header lmao. If Biyandir wasn’t such a wet fart he should never had the chance for a header. Tbh after watching the match back. If he had missed it altogether De Ligt would have headed it away instead.
