The Manchester United Thread

Bit of a mixed bag. But happy with that first game of the season. Finishing was woeful lol. Great finish by the big heard Dutch beauty on debut :) Mazaroui was excellent! Defo need Ugarte in to replace Casemiro. Didn’t play badly but he can’t cover the ground. 3 points top of the league. On to Brighton 😃

Couple of things from yesterday match carrying on from pre season.

Another game with nearly 3xg really need to be more clinical though. But we are creating good chances.

Another match with less than 10 opponents efforts. Which means our press is working good. Not perfect but that’s more down to a few key players missing. Also our defensive shape is way better than last season in and out of possession.

You'll always have few 'key' players missing. Can't use that for an excuse too long.
But plenty of signs to be excited, chances created is one for sure.

Yeah that’s true but it was noticeable after watching the match back. How when we pressed up as a team. The only 2 that didn’t was the CBs they were a lot deeper than the rest. The reason Maguire. You swap him out and De Ligt and Martinez will go up higher and join the rest of the team.

It’s the main reason why Fulham on the few occasions got round the initial press that there was that huge gap we sore last season between the CM and CBs leading to teams getting lots of chances against us. Like I said easy fix bring De Ligt then have Yoro replacement instead of Maguire.

Bit sad about Pellistri. Great little player that was a panic by Ole and Woodward because they fecked up the Sancho deal first summer round. Never been given a fair shot but when he has he’s impressed and always impressed being a starter for his country.

Well sounds like we are getting our money back at least with some good clauses inc. hopefully he can use this move as a stepping stone to bigger things.

And hopefully we can use the funds towards bring in a CM or 2 and a left sided defenders before the window closes

Understand Manchester United are working on loan with obligation to buy proposal for Manuel Ugarte.

Negotiations very advanced with this formula as Jorge Mendes’s leading talks with Paris Saint-Germain. Here we go soon!

Loan with obligation? In that case, I expect 60m to be paid as United can't afford it this season.

I still don’t think we are gonna give PSG that amount. Even next season. Will see. Just don’t think the new structure are gonna cave. As shown already this summer.

Edit: seems I’m right.

For years, City prided themselves on not breaking the £60m barrier for signings and now United are operating similarly, with Berrada the common dominator as United get there man #mufc

So it seems Will Fish off to Cardiff on permanent.
Oyedele off to Legia Warsaw on permanent.
Vitek off to BW Linz(Austrian club) on loan.

Surprised Oyedele is going. Hopefully we inc buy back clause like we did with Kambwalla.

U21s produced a superb second half display in the EFL cup to come from 2-0 down to win 2-3. 2 goals for Jack Fletcher and 1 for Ethan Ennis
