The Manchester United Thread

Probably right-but anything can happen in football these days. If we lost them both the consequences would be catastrophic. I'm not sure if I'd like to see Fell playing too far upfield as he's an outstanding anchorman. Rather see him reducing the workload on the back four.

I can see him doing a good job there, he done well in the 4-4 draw against United playing further up the field, would be interesting to see. I can see why David Moyes would perhaps want to try it, I mean you could try using Jack Rodwell as a Defensive type Midfielder, providing he stays injury free, which I hope he does considering I have aspirations for him for England national side.

You pretty much did my response for me re: Rodwell. I do have concerns about his fitness. He's definately missed a lot of action, and I have feeling it's affected his development. He may still be young, but the injuries are consistently in the same areas, and is struck by niggly things quite a lot. This season could make or break him

Anyone know about a story doing the rounds, that if Leighton goes to Trafford, there's going to be 2 players leaving Old Trafford for Goodison?

I'd bet you even money Fabio goes on loan the other way.

Is indeed rumoured to be Fabio or Park. At the same time looks like Utd will have to go up against Napoli for his signature

Glad raf da silva signed new contract today SSN till 2016, yesterday tom P.I.G,michael owen, liam jacob, joe coll were all officially released by MUFC mufc.com official site, and modric to madrid not going to happen coz sahin does not want to go the other way oppening the door for united! And apparently united have made an enqiry about moutinho. Both last to things were said by that spanish dude ( ballague ) i think his name.

FABIO SIGNS: Highly-rated Manchester United defender Fabio da Silva has put pen to paper on a season-long loan deal at Loftus Road. #QPR

I am seriously baffled as to why QPR and not Everton, I really am. We have a far superior squad and he would've learnt a lot more. All very well getting game time, but if he went to Goodison he would've been surrounded by internationals and learnt a lot more imo. Oh well.

Do they not have Baines?

Yeah we've got him for a bit longer. Just waiting for SAF to take him to the checkout lol

It is all about getting game time, if surrounded by and training with international players was important, he could have done that at United.

Would have loved to Everton though as I believe he could have learned a lot under Moyes. Baines may be gone so Fabio would have got game time plus guidance under Moyes. Also what I like at Everton is the work ethic and playing as a team than as individuals.

No troublemakers either like Barton. But you're right about the work ethic. Something that's been rife at Goodison. Hard work, team work, whole 9 yards. Beggards can't be chosers though I guess. From what I hear SAF wants the deal done by 16th or something near that date, so still got time to get a replacement in-if needed.

And tbh like Arteta he's earning the right to play at a massive club. And like Mikel-can't begrudge him that chance

Like Fellaini too ;)

Do not even go there lol. I mentioned that before, and was pointed out be extremely doubtful that two prize assets would go to the same club. And as i mentioned, the consequences would be dire
