The Manchester United Thread

Sky Sports now reporting that he won't sign any medical until after the olympics even if there is a deal in place. Also states that Sao Paolo have claimed they are not in any negotiations with any club over Lucas Moura. But having said all this, if the deal was nearly done Manchester United would want it all kept secret until he had a medical anyway.
 
Now i didn't see the full interview just some quotes but i remember Fergie questioning the price Chelsea paid for Hazard. If true then what is paying 30mill+ for an unproven Brazilian straight from Brazil? If the interview was legit and what was said was true then surely he is surely contradicting himself, that or his is abit sour still about losing the race to sign Hazard?
 
I would be fuming if we ended up signing Lucas Moura and did not even try and go for Nuri Sahin who Jose Mourinho has come out and said can leave. Also Joao Moutinho who apparently wants out at Porto and a move to England, both would probably be cheaper and are proven quality players, Sahin is the one I would go for personally.

Agree with Sahin. If he's available (permanently!) then he'd be mad not to go for him. Hopefully Kagawa is urging Fergie
 
Even though it would be bonkers to sign Lucas there is some little part of me which kinda wants to see him in the red shirt next season. Just don't know why as we do NOT need him and would rather have Sahin/Mountinho instead

Not sure how I feel about it.
I'm happy cause it means we aren't wasting £30mil on basically a gamble which we don't really need, but kinda sad because it means we aren't spending £30mil potential world beater.

I think Fergie's beef was with the agent's fee (£6M). I'm pretty sure we did agree a transfer fee with Lille.

I think it's a load of rubbish tbh. Bob Cass is 110% confident this transfer is going to happen, I'll believe a well-known journo putting his reputation on the line over some random article.
 
Glad to hear about fletcher making good recovery read somewhere he played 45 mins in training match the other day and is now training with scotland and manager saying he looks good:D

Massimo Moratti has confirmed Inter are pulling out of the race for Lucas Moura. “There are no regrets, as the €45m PSG offered are completely illogical.”


The San Paolo striker is at the centre of a bidding war between the Nerazzurri, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United, though it has been reported today that the French side is way out in front.


“We would never have gone up to that sum,” Moratti told Sky Sport Italia after a transfer summit in Milan this evening.


“In any case, there are no regrets that we didn’t finish off the move, as the cost was already pretty high a few days ago.


“The €45m that PSG offered are completely illogical and for us it would’ve been very out of key with our approach.


“PSG are starting a new era, so they are completely reconstructing the squad. At least I can relish the fact I’m saving money...”

Bob Cass is talking out his **** then if he is "110% sure". The one thing you can always, always be certain with about SAF is that you can never be sure what he will do on a transfer. Journos gets things wrong all the time, reputable or not.
Also Bob Cass wont be getting an inside scoop from Old Trafford, since he SAF had a bust up, after he ran off the record comments about Sneidjer.

Well he's far from a world beater right now for one. Also doesnt matter if you dont have the quality to supply him.
 
Bob Cass is a stain on the journalistic industry. Never takes anything he says at face value, ever.
 
All this moura **** is boring now im not gonna believe anything till is on MUFC official site announced by club, same with any other transfers/rumours!

I heard they've made up. I'm just going to wait for the Olympics to finish now, I'll believe Moura is a red or a PSG player when I see it, all these papers & online articles are just getting ridiculous now.

Cant see us signing him now not if rumours true about fees representitives are wanting about 6M, think thats the main problem we struggling to sign anyone its not the fee of the transfer but agents fees etc.
