The Manchester United Thread

Once again dominated in midfield! Rooney was obviously not ready and should not have started, poor mistake from most experienced player on the team for 1st goal. Think fergie could have made changes earlier imo.

What a poor excuse for a ref.

He was **** for the whole game. What really annoyed me was when he ened the first half as Clichy was just about to cross into the box. Then when the City players ask for an explanation he tells them to go away. I know its a tough job but they act like such ***** sometimes.

Linked with Falcao. Stranger things have happened so won't write off completely, no one knows what Fergie thinks of improving the squad.

Strange thing to laugh at. If anything arrival of Falcao improves our attacking even more and if by chance we add a decent midfielder then our squad will be superb.

Imagine the scenario-Fellaini to Chelsea falls through because they don't make CL (transfer deal clause) lo and behold-Fergie phones up............then there's Falcao in the lineup too....mouthwatering

Not funny! At all!

I'd much prefer Lewandowski for half the price of Falcao, he's younger and a more rounded link player too. Not needed unless we offload Hernandez or move Welbeck/Rooney to regular winger/central midfielder. Even then a bit of a strange move

No idea why would Fergie go for a striker, if i had 50m to blow think i'd try Fellaini and Bale....

And chances are there will be quite a race for Lewandowski so 'half Falcao' price might not be possible with several clubs competing.

A lot depends upon what Pep and Bayern decide to do. I have a feeling they'll go for Suarez, which would open the door for us to get Lewandowski, but it is really the player who decides where he wants to go when his contract is down to one year.

90% chance that we won't be going for lewandowski. I don't even see the need for a striker unless we replace a retiring but still amazing Pizzaro. Bayern only need to replace bad players (Robben) with younger and better players. Apart from that Bayern have one of the deepest and best squads in Europe.

Given a choice I would leave as it is, we have excellent attackers in Rooney, RVP, Welbeck, Hernandez and Kagawa. 3 players can lead the line and same number can play behind the striker.

I would save every penny to sign a good CM who can take us to next level. Saying that almost everything was thinking in the same way this season when we were linked with RVP and it's safe to safe almost all were wrong about it.

Back then we had 3 strikers, as Berbatov was leaving. Rooney cant play deep of RVP, but can one of Kuba/Falcao/RVP play deep of each other? Strike force is as good as it gets, needs a quality winger and CM.

I know Fergie is a little mad but I don't think he's that mad, not sure how buying another striker is in anyway going to happen unless it's some 12 year old from the middle of nowhere. Just spent 22mil on RVP, got Rooney, Hernandez and Welbeck(Who I still think is *****) and Kagawa is a machine.
Only way you'd bring in Falcao is if RVP or Rooney left, RVP isn't going anywhere and who would take Rooney?

Winger is badly needed and sort out midfield, do that and the league is basically yours again next season.

I think RVP could do it, but it wouldn't be optimal. And Kuba is Blaszczykowski ;)

Surely the only way it'd work is if Rooney was going to move to either the wing or midfield more often. Rooney's shown he can play the CM role well against weaker teams in the past, but if Fergie doesn't think he can trust him to be defensively disciplined enough to play against Madrid, is he really going to trust him in CM? And can't see him as a regular on the wing, United have always been about playing with two proper wingers, why would he change now?

Think it's more journalists have got bored with nothing to write about, taken the Rooney rumours earlier and decided we're going to sign Falcao. IMO Rooney/RVP is a stronger partnership than Falcao/RVP would be, and we can keep the cash and sign a proper midfielder
