Blind is a really good player, he is one of the most versatile players we have in current top level. Can be a back up LB, DM, CM and even a CB specially in 3 man line up.
So Daley Blind signing is happening. Not a big improvement for first 11 but he would be very good addition to the squad. He is better than Fletcher, Cleverley, Anderson and I would play him ahead of Carrick who is very close to "past it" status.
I don't know why people always chose to ignore this, Blind is playing as CM/DM from past 2 years for Ajax (that's what I read) and he won player of the year playing as DM.
Not big improvement on first 11 but excellent for squad.
Also Mata, Herrera, Shaw, Rojo, Blind, Di Maria. That's 5 left footed players in the last 6 signings we made.
His passing-range is better than Carrick's as well? Judging by that pass for Van Persie's header. He could be really good at building up or spreading the play to the flanks? Does he do this much? Anyone know? He cetainly has the passing range for it.
I don't think so. Blind has better long balls, but he lack trough balls. He's not Cleverley, but expect him to make side way passes most of the time. His passing-range is better than Carrick's as well? Judging by that pass for Van Persie's header. 13.85m fee for Blind according to SSN that is a steal for me if true
where you expect blind to play and what role will he get at man utd
That was a cross, I think? Got on the left and crossed from deep, leading to the Superman goal.. If we get Blind, shift to 4-3-3? Blind, Carrick and Herrera in CM, putting di MAria and Mata/Januzaj out wide.. Or Blind/Carrick, Herrera and di Maria in CM, with Mata and Januzaj out on wings.
Either ways, I'll be a lot more happier once we get back Rafael and Shaw..
Starting 3-5-2 again with Di Maria as CM.
No Kagawa and Cleverley in the squad. As good as gone.
Yes I think 3-5-2 can only effectively work with good Wing-Back's. That's why I think we're going to struggle today and also the fact that our midfield will consist of Fletcher and most likely, Cleverley? Or Di-Maria.. but not sure if he works in a 2 man midfield.
You could class it as a cross, but if he can do that from the position he was, surely he'd be able to spread the play, like Scholes kind of used to, I guess we'll wait and see.
Its only what sky are reporting so could be moreThat cheap? Ajax were reportedly highly reluctant to let go of him..
