The Manchester United Thread

Not quite sure why y'all want to drop 3-5-2 just now. With Jones injured, Evans off form, most of defense and central midfield being new to the team, its fairly obvious you're not going to be able to defend for ****. Even more of a reason to get as much attacking talent on the pitch, because trying to grind tight 1:0 wins just isn't going to work at this point o fthe season.

Except thats pretty much exactly how it went the last time Fergie won the title.

Erm... any team SAF assembled no matter how poor it looked on paper he could get it to consistently perform 110% with a weaker midfield than we currently have now.

Honestly it's a poor comparison to use the genius of a manager we won't see the likes of again.

Just happy welbeck didn't have a stormer so i didn't have to see nancy united fans acting like we sold the 2nd coming of batistuta.

U16s beat Stoke 4-1 and U18s beat Stoke 1-0 today :) Demitri Mitchell was class for u18s and Andre Gomes for u16s.

Watching Madrid derby. God they look **** without Di Maria. Glad we did not get Kroos either, think LVG was right on that one.

Kroos has bossed the midfield in the Madrid derby I'm watching....
Ok. I dont think hes been great tbh. And has been pretty poor this season playing deeper role. And him and Modric is defo not working in CM together. Each to there own :)

Kroos is class, i'd have took him over herrera but i don't think he'd have worked well with carrick.

We'd have an excellent passing mid, with little mobility, and only Carrick capable of defending well.

I agree. Kroos needs an enforcer/mobile player next to him to be effective ...

Kroos is quality. Great passer and has quite a hammer in his feet too. Can't imagine he will function well in Madrid's midfield though. With the combined muscle power of Modric, Kroos, and James, the three of them wouldn't be able to take candy from a baby.

I recon same thing would happen if he came to United. You just can't field a midfield made of paper and hope to survive in modern football.

Herrera is a lot more combatative and even in pre-season friendlies looked like a guy who won't back down from a fight.
