The Manchester United Thread

I actually think Tuanzebe and Roshaun are better defenders than TFM. Think I would like to see him in CM, but could defo do a good job anywhere across the back if needed. Think you lose some of his attribute playing in defence.

Yeah, Tuanzebe and Ro Shaun are proper CBs and that's their primary position. TFM is better tackler though. It's so easy for him, those sliding tackles. Not everyone will make it at the club but if these 3 does then we will be in very good position. I agree on Fosu Mensah, he should play in the midfield. He can play like Kante does for Leicester. Defensively very good and has good ability to carry the ball forward. Not to say he is a beast physically.

Yep. Like I said know very little about him. Apparently we were in talks with him along with Chong. Looks like **** is being true to his word and investing in top talent from Europe and Local. All this with the new academy restructuring sounds very promising.

Nicky **** and the new Academy scout we appointed, Henny de Regt. IMO we will be signing lot of players from Netherlands considering we have dutch coaches and scout at academy level.

Yeah agree about those 3. We will be in great position if they make it and carry on at there current progression. Yeah true about De Rigt also. And think we are currently looking to employ more scouts abroad and full time local scouts which would be great. Just watched a few highlights of that Ajax kid, looks real pacy dribbling winger good with both feet and looks like he likes to get in the box and score goals, takes a mean free kick also. Passing is a bit raw but that's expected at that age, but his crossing is good.

Next year will be very defining year not only for first team but also for academy. Many of the U18 players are promoted this season, few to u21s and few to senior team. Next season players like Gribbin will be promoted to U21 and Gomes might be promoted to U18 (He is just 16 year old but made few appearances for U18).

Also if Rashford is promoted then our U21 and U18 lack striker. There will be lot of signings for youth teams. Also we will have James Wilson coming back.

Also Boonen and Gomes played superbly against Newcastle U18s,

For u16s Barlow scored goal after going rainbow flick.

Been impressed by some of the u18s Barlow, Dearnly, Boonen, Gomes. And a few others Kehinde included. Despite what has been printed our academy is not as some would led our fans to believe. We have a very good bunch at the club. Just short in a couple possitions.

******* ****, Rothwell is lucky that his leg isn't snapped into 2 pieces. Ref didn't even blow the whistle lol

Shocking challenge!!! Don't know what's worse that or the refereeing. Hope he's ok, always had high hopes for Rothwell and know he is very highly rated at the club.

He is subbed off now. Yeah Rothwell and Pearson were both highly rated but the way things are going can't see them making it at United.

I bet Rooney is **** for U21's and still comes straight back into first team 11.

He didn't do much in fairness.
Middlesbrough are parking the bus and it's a ***** match.
Decent enough finish from Paddy though, I suppose.

No it wasn't not. Even the mafia follows unwritten rule that family is off limits.
Well that family should stick their noses where it belongs. She tried to chat **** about Jose so she got banged

Just need 2 more points from 3 games to clinch the title. Looking very likely.

Very disrespectful mate. That's the Jose I hate and scared we will be getting.

No he won't be thinking "it's another job" but it will be just another job where he will fight with other managers.

Yeah we all love off the field entertainment mate, but IMO people are looking for something that's not there and raising their expectations for another big soap.

Wenger will obviously take a dig at Joes and vice versa but the way people are going with their stories is bit too much.

Developing footballer makes mistake and that's very much given but the way people are going on about Stones you would think we are looking at Nesta but he is just another English CB who is very good on the ball so he is rated very highly for his ball playing skills.

Calling him overrated doesn't mean calling him as not talented, obviously he is talented CB but not worth the hype or the money. There are better younger CBs out there who can be signed for smaller fee or talented CBs in the ranks who can grab the chance.
Rafa's wife called Jose a crappy manager that her husband was still fixing the "mess" he left at real madrid. Probably wouldn't have been as blunt but I would've been like "in today's society, people who don't know about football talk about football"

Reports in France saying we are the only English club interested in Ibra and we are the only club he is interested in joining. Think l, equipe first reported it.

She said it as a joke and Jose retorted back very harshly at Benitez' weight. I said it in the Chelsea thread at the time, complete lack of respect for a good manager who helped Chelsea at a difficult time

Hahah oh my god! He SWORE!

Yeah the media exaggerates but a fair bit because Jose gives them so many soundbites and controversial quotes.

Everyone knows they are rivals as they were at the two biggest clubs around. All I'm saying is; There will be just as much pressure on him at United as there was at Chelsea last season and probably more.

He will be out to redeem himself from the state/way he left Chelsea. That could work extremely well for United or implode like has happened in the past.

Thats the point. Pep knows how to largely keep his emotions in check even though he hates the sight of Jose. Mourinho unfortunately does not especially when Pep is around. He had a major meltdown this season just because CFC did not back him in the transfer market and we all know what happened at Madrid although I do not think that was all down to him

Some hilarious U turns, not surprising though.

Btw, rumours (reported by Sun I think) that senior players are fed up with Van Gaal. IIRC Moyes story started in a similar way.

Just a matter of time. As soon as seasons over he will be gone, and news of Mou will be out.

Buying some big personalities in the summer is a must, because Spurs is not the first time when this squad just zoned out of the game. There's nobody holding things together if things go badly. The tactical plan was sound, Poch's pressing machine was completely shut down for 70 minutes, and then woosh.
