The Manchester United Thread

Few saying it will be announced tomorrow and Ed will tell the board/ shareholders when he has to speak with them in a conference call.

Here we go again, few days after Renato's 100% confirmed official true story transfer turned out to be made up.

Seriously, when will you stop falling for this ****. There is no chance in seven hells they will announce a new manager before major cup final.

Tbf the Sanches story was reliable things changed late in the deal it happens.

Just watched the United press conference. Not once was LVG's name mentioned...or even referenced.

Woodward talked about mostly deals and confirmed that there's a penalty in the Adidas deal for missing the UCL group stages for 2 seasons back to back...

Then he also reported that 29% profits made over the season.

Sanches wasn't made up tbf.

Hopefully this season a new manager will help him achieve that.

Honestly, if I was thinking of a L'pool challenge and teams to topple Tottenham are the one next year I fear.

Pep's a complete unkown to this league and he has a big rebuilding job on at City. Utd may or may not have the Mourinho factor but I personally think your rebuild is as big as anyones as this group isn't anywhere near what it should be regardless of the current managers want. But let's not get into a debate on that. Arsenal be Arsenal. And Chelsea are in the biggest mess of any major team IMO with a coach coming in who I don't rate at all.

Tottenham are the only one's ahead of the curve and set to go right from the off.

Agree, Liverpool will be there or there about. But Spurs are the real danger team as a United fan. Everyone else is starting fron scratch again

Woodward needs to invest in a manager before players to have a hope of challenging for the title.

And forget short term huge money coming for a big pay day signings like Ibrahimovic, worthless to us, one or two seasons when we're not even in CL.

LOL. 25 goals each for 2 seasons is not worth less.

we paid 25m and 250k a week for RVP to do exactly that and we won a title.

300k a week and a free transfer for Zlatan to do the same is a bargain.

Zlatan goes places to do one things: Win trophies and look awesome doing so. I have no issue with him coming to do that for a couple of years.

If you want a striker now that guarantees goals (as much of a guarantee as you'll get in football!) Then even for a season or 2, Ibra is perfect. Big name, scores and assists and is often a game changer. 2 seasons on high wages, but could be the quality up top you need to get back in champions league contention.

All the while United could be sorting the future players out
