The Manchester United Thread

Olympics is next month ain't it? So would assume it means August?

As Epic noted above mate, anyone involved would just miss the first month of this season.

Oh right, cheers guys, quite an odd move, another wide player... we suddenly have an overload, someone has to be on the move surely? Either that or Jose is conveniently planning for another shitton of injuries.

I knew he was tall but I didn't realise Zlatan was as big as 6'5.

Should be quite the aerial battle between he and Matip next year's games who's the same size.

If only David Moyes was here now, his get the ball out wide and pump it in 80 crosses in a match tactic might actually work!

Lol. The top EPL scorer next season should be a **** of a race. Zlatan's pedigree goes without saying. Kane has been right up there two years running now. Augero obviously if he stays healthy. And Sturridge has been injury free and back to full health all 2016.

There's 4 20 plus goals a season men right there.

Yeh, next season is just unpredictable, going to be one **** of a battle. I kind of expected Arsenal to sign a top striker, but we all know what they are like with transfers.

They seem a bit bitter :)

Dortmund statement on Mkhitaryan "all the best for the EPL and the Europa League next season. He decided to join 5th place English team"

Who can blame them though? Doesn't matter what they do, or how well they perform, the grass (or money) is always greener elsewhere. Dortmund are an honourable club and probably just wish that their players had the same values that they do, and would show a bit more loyalty.

Great signing for United though, no doubt in my mind that you guys are a major threat again :(

They do sound a bit bitter. Kinda disrespectful as well. It's Man Utd. One of the biggest teams in the world, who have just hired one of the best managers in the world, and signed Zlatan. It's a step up from Dortmund despite no champions league.

It's not surprising. Dortmund did something similar when they announced Gundogan was joining City.

"Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund and Ilkay Gundogan are set to part company this summer. The midfielder, who is currently suffering from a knee injury, will leave the eight-time German champions in a few weeks' time and join Manchester City, who finished last season's English Premier League in fourth place, on 1 July 2016."

Munich be happy at least.

They get to win the Bundesliga unchallenged again by default and still claim they're one of the biggest around despite failing miserably in Europe in large part down to having no league opposition.

Agree! Boy must be ***** being a Dortmund fan every summer. But it's a huge step up from Dortmund to Utd especially how things are going at our club since winning the FA Cup last season. Mourinho in one of the highly rated young CBs from Spain in Bailly signed then Zlatan fecking Ibrahimovic :) also if rumours are true about Lozano one of the hottest South American talents out there. Good times!

I'm a Dortmund fan :( And most certainly not a United fan, so not such good times :P

In saying that, Dortmund have made some good signings too, which would be more exciting if it wasn't tempered by the knowledge that as soon as any of them start pushing into the elite/world class bracket, off they will go

If it softens the blow, I do wish Old Trafford was like Westfalenstadion. You have a sea of yellow every time I get a chance to watch. Would be nice if Old Trafford was a sea of red.
