Lost in the semi on Penos. Was the better team. Olesunde, Poole, Tuanzebe, Riley were quality. Goss was also good after a long lay off with injury, but controlled the game. Demi Mitchell was a right ***** when he came on cost us the game. Fighting with Goss for a free kick just after coming on. No work rate or team work. And missed the shittest peno ever trying to **** the keeper down the middle and ended up going over the bar on the deciding peno.

So thick from Mitchell. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets cut.

Yep. Could not believe. Looked ****** off sat on the bench argued with the captain and sulked when could not take the free kick after just coming on. The to take a peno like that. Joyce most probs had a few words. Like you said will most probs get cut. Makes you think why he don't start more games tbh. Especially when he had Olesunde starting ahead of him on RW who is actually a defender. Thought his debut was great tbh considering!

True but turning up overweight for Pre-season is just unprofessional which deserves to be punished. Its not Bastian's fault that his best days are behind him so he deserves to leave gracefully instead of being demoted as he has if reports are true.

He's only 31, should still have few years left in him. Some of the fans are acting as if Bastian is wheelchair bound or something. He's good enough for world champions to rush him - not even fully fit - to the pitch during major tournament, but for United it's U21?

The ****.

Sure but thats at the discretion of Mourinho. Its alright if Jose thinks Bastian can no longer contribute. Its just wrong to push hin out the way he is reportedly doing especially as Bastian seems to be the model professional and has had an illustrious career. A way of stamping his authority on the squad no doubt but such methods eventually alienated the players at Chelsea.

So far no one has had any confirmation of this. Her certainly didnt train with them ahead of their loss and match last night. Curious.

I still wouldnt be selling him personally.

A report the MEN last night on that U-23 game was saying he'd been training with them FWIW.

Regardless of the player in question, there's a BIG difference between the pace of an International tournament and the heater-skelter pace of the PL. ****, step forward Joe Allen as a prime example of that. Looked one of the best midfielders in France this summer. And was fantastic in Europe last year. But you wouldn't want him starting regularly the PL.

Good point, the Euros bring out the passion in players, and makes them perform on another level for players like Joe Allen. A lot of "lesser" players had a good tournament, look at the Welsh squad as prime example for that. All except Bale wouldn't make it into a top team, but yet they all played very well. But passion only works in short stints. (unless of course, you are English. Then you just play *****). Over a long season, it would never work.

God, to that wider point the last thing I'd EVER do is buy someone off the back of a good tournament the summer he's invariably trying to sell himself in. Too many countless examples of too many clubs getting burned like that. Two instantly spring to mind personally. Back in '94, we unbelievably got into a bidding war with Tottenham for Phil Babb off the back of him playing superbly that WC. Most notably the opener against Italy when he completely marked Signori out the game. That fee was a British record for a defender at the time, £3.6 million. Coventry must of been ******* themselves as he was NOTHING like that. Then there's that absolute low life POS El Hadji Diouf, who we not only shelled out £10 million for after his showing in Korea (by Houllier's own admission he'd been watching him at Lens but thought he'd elevated to top bracket that tournament), but compounded it by buying his equally ***** mate Diao to keep him happy! Oh yeah, and costing us a true WC talent in Anelka who Gerrard went back on his promise to and **** all over!

Simple rule of thumb when it comes to International tournaments:

NEVER bet against the Germans or Italians.

NEVER buy somebody off a good showing over a few games the summer.

Exactly, and the worse one from the back of this latest Euro's is that Real Madrid are reportedly going after Sissoko from 'Caslte. Who had a shocking season with them before the euro's, but only put in a decent shift in the final. Ridiculous.

We already knew that Sissoko is talented. It's just a case whether he could be bothered to show.

Sissoko is a beast actually.

I'd say that the majority of tournament signings are exemplary. A player can obviously have a good game or two but international football is of a much higher quality than anything else. International sides are tactically excellent and difficult to play against. A good example is Mesut Özil who Madrid snagged for just 13 million and was La Liga's best attacking midfielder 2008-2013.

Some new drama to this pogba saga..he just told a juventus fan that he's staying at juventus
