You can pretty safely discard that bloke's opinions then! It annoys me how people assume Gomez is a LB, just because he played there as Rodgers didn't trust Moreno. If anything, people should infer that Moreno is not a LB from that, rather than that Gomez is

Can't help but feel Jose Fonte's recent transfer request is related to us. Problem is, do we really need a 33 year old centre-back?

Think it's more to do with a breakdown in relationship with Puel than anything else. He's made no secret of the fact that he's felt mistreated this season

Before Zlatan signed, many of the fans asked the very similar question. 'Do we need a 35yo striker, whilst we have Rashford and Martial?'

Having a brilliant 33 year old as a backup for Smalling and Bailly wouldn't hurt.
 
Donte will end up at Everton, Pool or Portugal. No chance we are after him. Not with Rojo, Smalling, Jones, Bailly, Tuanzebe who has hinted to someone I know that will get mins in the new year. And Linderlof deal still on the go.

zlatan is a rare beast.supremely fit an could easily do it for us for another two years imo.not your average 35 year old by any means
 
The time for an experienced was when our new CB's were settling in, not now they're established and have good partnerships going.

Anyway, Evra back at United, would equally baffle me. A great player for us but to have him back now, rather pointless as he'd offer little.

Not really. Maybe he wants him while Shaw gets his full fitness back. Mourinho has said he likes Shaw in numerous interviews on mutv. If we lose 3 cm in Jan Evra would be a good shout as Blind would go into CM. People had the same theories with Mky and Martial when they weren't playing.
