The Manchester United Thread

If Fellaini doesn't start and you don't revert to ale house football sat deep all game it will be a complete career anomaly from every time Mourinho has faced L'pool. Home or away.

We aren't holding our breath. But that's Sunday. Southampton tomorrow first is all that currently matters.
Id tend to agree. But I'm pretty sure it will be Herrera-Pogba-Carrick in CM especially how much Mourinho has praised them and the balance in both defence and attack they bring to the team. Mourinho knows a draw or a win ain't really good enough, if we want to get in that top for ASAP. He's been using Fellaini hardly in the league and been fairly attacking tbh.
But like you said, we can worry about Sunday after tonight and tomorrow night. Can't afford to take an eye off any game atm!

You see it as a must win for Utd huh? I'd be quite happy with a point. From a L'pool perspective that would hardly define the title race as slipping just as a win wouldn't have it won either. As much as Neville, Carragher and whatever other (so called) expert sat there for reaction will doubtless have it after the fact on Sky Sunday.

Runs define titles. Not individual matches.

Every game is a must win from here on in, with the exception of settling for a point away to the big sides. If I were a 'Pool fan, I'd be pretty content with a point too.

Same goes for Chelsea at home FWIW the end of the month. A draw wouldn't be the worst result in that one either.

I expect to win both comfortably. But it's not going to decide anything either way if ti's 1 or 3 points in both games.

People get too hung up on individual games is my point. There's often very few defining games in a title season whatever nonsense is talked about them today. Defining runs though are another thing again.

But the league isn't important as I type. The League Cup is all that matters.

And when Chelsea was on a amazing run then they weren't title challengers...

Not ranting, just to point out your saying about Che :) .....

They won't finish in the top 2. Feel free to pull that up in May.

In fact please do. I'll appreciate the credit.

I see what you did there ;)

Without winning individual matches, you can't have a run?

*Winning or drawing.

And there'd still be 17 games in L'pool's league season left to do that even with a loss on Sunday.

But it wouldn't be painted that way if that happened. Sunday decides nottin'. But it will be ridiculously portrayed as being a major defining moment whatever happens.
