He stopped being relevant since his time at AZ. Not to mention he got out coached by mourinho in the 2009 UCL final

Latinized stinks of a multi-account user, creating and using this account to troll. Pretending he's a United fan while saying all this negative ****, when really he probably supports Liverpool or something.
TOD, I think Goss will go on to be a very good player, I think he will need to kick on in the championship quickly and progress back into the Premiership, hopefully somewhere like Bournemouth
I don't mean to sound like a football dinosaur here Damola, but I'd much rather our attractive attacking football, even if you do think it's relying on individual talent, than to back to some philosophy that could only let us see a chance or two per game, and De Gea getting more touches than our #9.
We took that risk, wore the T-shirt. Much prefer the ride we're on now.![]()
He might have changed football in the 90's but by the time he arrived at Old Trafford he was outdated. Too old to change and too stubborn to want to.From Barcelona to Bournemouth | IntoPress Football
This is why Van Gaal is one of the greatest of all time. Point back to him European cup winning Ajax side in the 90s. Tactically, he changed football.

I don't think it's fair at all to say LVG was tactically outdated. The top teams are usually the most up to date with modern tactics, and LVG was not just beating them, but actually outplaying them pretty consistently. It's the outdated tactics - sit low, stay compact, counter with pace - where he struggled, ironically.
That said, he was definitely too old to take on a job like this. During his second season it was like he aged 10 years, he started out with confidence bursting out of his eyeballs, and looked like broken shell of a man those last 2-3 months. I think he overestimated his energy with respect to how many games he'll have to play in PL.
Are you seriously going to tell me that bielsa is better than mourinho? It's possible that he was fatigued. He's more modern than most modern coaches tactically. A principle of Juego de Posicion is that build-up is highly structured until the ball gets into the final third. It's the manager's job to get the players to the final third where thr players have creative freedom to break down the horizontal block. The downside is that its very hard to coach. Have no illusions, Guardiola, Klopp, Sampaoli, Sarri, Tuchel etc all have highly structured teams with little tactical freedom. They're so structured that the beautiful football looks improvised. This is why they're the best in the world.
You've pointed out that the managers that followed advanced his concepts Van Gaal stuck to his original views. For that reason alone he was outdated.Outdated? You mean tactical concepts adopted and advanced by Bielsa, Guardiola, Klopp, Sampaoli, Tuchel, Sarri etc. Those coaches are hardly outdated. Van Gaal has been successful for his whole career barring his stint at United. He's the most relevant of that generation of coaches.

Martial doesn't have a point. That's the whole point! The only thing Martial has said recently is that he's happy and doesn't want to leave. All this talk is from his agent and nobody else, trying to put pressure on the club and the manager. And let's be honest he's hardly been consistent and anywhere near like he was last season. It's simple pull your socks up and perform when played or like Mourinho said we have numbers and will play other options.
By an absolute mile. The gap is night and say. Bielsa is one of the greatest of all time.
I agree it's annoying. But even when he was given a run at the star he wasn't performing and when he has in games it's not been consistent for 90 mins. He needs to sort his head out and not listen to people outside of the club.In the position he plays he needs a consistent run in the team or at least the squad. Going from starting lineup to not even the bench from one match to the other not only is it not conducive to regaining confidence etc, its annoying!
If mourinho does win the epl with united, can I call you out on this bullshit?By an absolute mile. The gap is night and say. Bielsa is one of the greatest of all time.
