Ozil needed some time to adjust to the bpl. At real madrid, the guy would boss it against the likes of barcelona, bayern, juventus etc.
 
I don't think players need time to adjust to the league more they need time to gel with new team mates, possibly learn the language and get used to life in a new country. If a player feels unsettled it will likely affect their performance and if you are moving somewhere you have never lived it will take time to bed in

Absolutely. Something most people in general never take into consideration. Even more so when it comes to young players who may well be leaving home for the first time in their lives coming to a completely new Country and culture. No wonder a lot struggle to adapt the first year or so.

But I do think the unique physical demands of this league, or more so the British game in general, are still a massively relevant factor for foreign players. It's not only the breakneck speed we like our footie played at and the ultra competitiveness from top to bottom all season long that is like very few other places. But the sheer mad volume of games that's so different. Along with no mid-season break to take time off and recharge.

Arsenal had a big, physical lad played against L'pool up front last time out before the break the 23's who put himself about a bit so that'll be a challenge for Shaw if he's playing. Akpom maybe? Something like that. Big coloured lad anyway.

Wilson with a great little run forcing the keeper into a fingertip save. Shaw been good so far tbh at CB. Team so unbalanced again though with so many players playing out of possition.
 
Gonna' go watch the RBL game to start looking at Keita but watch out for Nelson if he's playing for Arsenal. He was wide but more playing off that big fella the middle. Quite a tidy player who's dead quick. Mad hair though haha.

Been Arsenal best player so far. Akpom missed a sitter. Arsenal trying to walk the ball in the net wasting very good chances. Fantastic save by Ohara to keep it at 0-0!
