Jones - Bailly terrible today, also hated that we changed team/formation for this game, could even feel it before the game.. hope people realise Pogba needs to play deeper in a 2 man. :'(

Bailly and Jones were both poor today but at least it doesn't look like we've got problems scoring anymore. Lukaku missed what could've been a winner at the end of the game but oh well, onto the UCL.

Dont think the team or formation was the problem. Just **** defending! Something I didn't expect tbh with our usually good defence. Should of won it at the end with Lukaku but meh fair result.

**** knows what the ref was doing at the end though. We had the ball just outside there box and ended up with it back at DDG, after a stupid drop ball. Stupid rule!

Great to see Zouma having a great game as well. He needs to play regularly to improve.

Disappointing but fair result. Darmian days look to be done. Shaw has played 3 reserve games in 2 weeks now, they are clearly ramping him up for a return. Blind should play left back till then. Once Rojo also returns, Darmian becomes 5th choice

Thought Darmian would start. But was surprised when he did tbh. Didn't really need to change the defence. And Blind had just had a great game, arguably MOTM performance for Holland.

Just seen a star not surprising though tbh. Had 67 attacks down the right and only 19 down the left against Stoke. Which for me highlights the left side problem. In which Rashford was as much to blame as anyone. Spent more time uptop near Lukaku. Also that somebody on the coaching staff or the team didn't identify Stokes biggest weakness in defence, which was a STR in Diouf playing at RWB. Martial exploited that loads more when he came on. Staying wider and skinning him numerous times. For me till Shaw comes back Martial needs to start over Rashford to give us that more natural width and ability to beat a defence that will sit deeper and more compact. Which will happen more often than not against us in the Prem. Really hope Shaw gets back soon and him and Martial build a great partnership down the left. And eventually balance the team!

I don't blame Darmian totally, you know what type of player he is and he's always more of a RB for me. Not saying he doesn't take blame for yesterday somewhat though, because he does.

No mate not all his fault. Hes defo limited as a FB and especially on the left. Bailly just as much to blame made 2 mistakes in there first goal. Even Jones played a part not getting back to cover the front post as the cross came in.

I was quite surprised last night how little help Darmian got when in possession no options at all, he could pretty much only pass it backwards meanwhile our other Fullback Valencia had options all the time, Lukaku running deep, Herrera and Mkhitaryan coming short etc..

And on the 2nd goal, I think It's Herrera confusing Phil Jones? Herrera is marking the goalscorer, but just as the corner is hit he runs away from him which probably confuses Jones.. but Jones falling over.. yeah that's just Jones. :'(

Problem is Rashford always likes to run in behind which is ok but Darmian isn't going to get forward enough to make them passes. Can see what was trying to do with there high line early on. But as the game went on and they got deeper Rashford was not getting that space, and didn't adjust by offering us width. That's when Martial came on and it changed for the better.

Think that second goals was all on Jones. He was marking Moting on all set pieces. He took his eye of his man ball watched, then fell over himself trying to adjust.

Love Hughes as a player. But he's been bitter towards Utd for a long while! Turned into a right arrogant and self entitled *******.

Simon Stone @sistoney67

Very obvious Mark Hughes swore at Jose. That and feeling he was trying to get him sent to stand why @ManUtd boss opted against hand shake.

same mate sparky was my favourite player growing up but i cant help but feel hes a little bitter after what happened at city and not getting a big job.i may be wrong its just what i feel

That's an extrapolation and then some.

Telling him to get out/ get back into his own technical area equates to 'trying to get him sent the stands?'

That's the kind of B/S Castles would come out with.

Big game tomorrow, I want to see rotation but also a win.
Hoping for this team vs Basel in CL.

And then this team vs Everton in the weekend, and if Lindelöf or Smalling plays well I could see one of them start instead of Jones.

Fellaini out again I read somewhere this morning and Lindelöf and Smalling to start. Don't think Romero will play much except from the 2 cup comps. But wouldn't mind either way. Wouldn't mind Lingard and Martial starting. Think Young and Shaw could be on the bench. Can't see Pogba not starting! Most probs Carrick, Pogba, Herrera in a 3.

Weve got him swearing at Jose on our iso dump. Not even a debate that it happened
