Looks like Rose is gonna happen. Everyone and there dig have reported as much in the last week. Be chuffed if we can get him in Jan for between 40-50m. Can see us doing a little in Jan.

Would be great business, for sure.

First Matic from Chelsea, Lukaku from Everton and now maybe Rose from Spurs. Hopefully we can get Özil from Arsenal in January/July as well. :D

Not often the top clubs exchange their best/one of their best players nowadays, but we're arguably in pole position to sign 4 this season (all listed above)

Contrary to rumour, why would Tottenham weaken themselves further and strengthen a rival for the top 4 slots January with no replacement? Aside from them having European Cup football in the spring.

Same Arsenal with the German having lost Chamberlain already the last window?

Don't get me wrong. I personally hope Arsenal deal with Utd January. (Less so 'Spurs.). Just can't see it with both's seasons still very much alive.

Arsenal haven't done a deal with Ozil because they felt they could do a deal with him. Looks increasingly unlikely. So not it's down to some money in Jan vs no money in summer.

Rose however is a bigger surprise. I'm genuinely curious as to why Spurs might do that business, unless they already have other targets lined to up to spend the money on

I get that as regards Ozil but then taking it to this stage of his contract you'd think having him the remainder of this year to help secure the CL outweighs any transfer fee.

If Spurs get Shaw in return, then there's an incentive. At the min he doesn't want to be there and feels he should be earning 4x his wages. Poch the type of man to not keep anyone that isn't 100% comitted to what he's doing

Tottenham wanting Shaw seems more hope and people putting 2 and 2 together and making 5 by most London reports for what that's worth.

Yeah don’t think Spurs are keen on Shaw tbh from what I’ve read. Think it’s clear Rose wants to leave. Bigger money bigger club and wants to move from London. We will get a good player, they will get a good fee. Win win! If that’s in Jan or the Summer who knows. Looking like Jan atm.

Just imagine if we could get Rose, Goretzka, Ozil, Sanchez for about 45-50m not including signing on fees of obviously. That would be a great Jan/Summer lol. LB, CM, 10, RW sorted.

Would need him in Jan. As terrific as Ashley Young has been, if we are progress and do some harm in the CL, we'd ideally like a natural top class LB. Every little helps.

Ugh man dunno about wanting Ozil AND Sanchez. That's literally replicating Arsenals tempramental, drama queen frontline. They both need a new environment, not a reminder of the old one.

Martial upped a gear this season, and has probably been better than Sanchez.

100% never gonna happen. Just would be some crazy buisness. Think Sanchez will be class whoever signs him. He’s clearly not interested in anything at Arsenal. As soon as he moves the world class Sanchez will be motivated and firing for his new club. Same goes for Ozil. Those 2 under Mourinho. Front 4 Lukaku. With Ozil behind flanked by Martial and Sanchez (6) Will likely be Griezmann in place of Sanchez. Which is still fecking scary.

Danny Rose wouldn't be able to play CL if he's played CL with Spurs this season, right?

Not sure. I know he was out for a lengthy enough period with injury? Not sure if he featured

Then you wake up in your cornflakes :)

I think it would be good to Spurs to get some big money in for Rose. Davies has played much better than him, Poch can finally end the pointless rotation.

And be left with one senior pro in the position until the summer with a top 4 chase involving the club they'd reportedly be selling to, CL knockout football and the FA Cup? With the prospect of signing a relevant replacement in January slim?

Wouldn't sound too smart a move at all to me from Tottenham. Shrugs.

Kyle Walker-Peters can fill in if needed. CL makes thing harder yeah, but having guy in dosent want to be part of the squad so much anymore is not also good idea. And the need to give him game time to be happy. Maybe he find his form back after injury, just Davies offers more stability in my eyes.

Wouldn't it be better for Walker-Peters to go out on loan to a League One/ Two club? ;)

Wait. Wrong thread.
