Feel sorry for Fred. 1 man CM again. Matic been pretty good the last few games but can’t play in these high tempo games
 
Out of 7 substitutes United have on the bench, 3 are defenders and 1 is a goalkeeper. That leaves 2 offensive midfielders and a striker as other 3. No central midfielder nor wingers on the bench.
Out of 18 players:
2 GK
8 Defenders
2 Central midfielders
3 Offensive Midfielders
1 Winger
2 Strikers

Thats how thin this United squad is in midfield/attack. FU*KING SHAMBLES

You forget Smalling had the more or less regular brain fart in him? You forget he's useless with the ball in his feet. He went to a league that's slow paced so all his deficiencies are well hidden.

Not to say he's worth 80M but he's not the problem on the pitch. He has a partner who is more or less average and literally no midfield cover in front of him
