IMO Pardew is poor at correcting problems. When the going gets tough, he rarely seems to look like he knows how to change things except to throw money at it.

Im so happy someone thinks the same as me, there is some stat to back you up that says since Pardew took over Newcastle they have only come from behind to win once in the league, and potentially they havnt ever i cant quite remember, Im not so sure he is actually as tactically astute as everyone thinks, he wants to play a good passing game but w/o cabaye, the strikers mainly Cisse is always so isolated and they end up just playing long balls and Cisse isnt the best players to be trying to hold up the play!.....

Villa had all of the momentum and were using Benteke's strengths more in the second half, as well as exloiting the channels with pace. Not a lot that Pardew could do except try to push his team forward and hold the ball up better (which is why Ameobi came on). Not sure why he didn't take Cisse off though. He's gambling that these players will all settle quickly but they all have quality and I don't see any reason to back him in the transfer window and then sack him...

im hoping they will settle reasonably well purely for the fact that they basically they have almost all played for france national squad together , so Sissoko, Yanga-Mbiwa, Debuchy, Cabaye, and Ben-Arfa would have trained or seen each other all over the place, while being in the national squad so hopefully there should be some fluency and will comfortable with each other,
depends if they can cope with the rigour and physicality game after game in the EPL what you reckon??...

Is it me, or am I the only realistic fan here.....We sign 5 players within a month and expect to be ripping sides apart, grow up man and get behind our team, instead of slating them. We have 3 points away from home. That's what counts, right!? It's just been one of those seasons where we have been plagued by injuries. Perch, who has been asked to play in all sorts of positions has been a unsung hero IMO!?

I believe we are in a better financial and stable position then a lot of other clubs, not saying I agree with how Ashley runs things, but to be making yearly profits and spending so wisely in this window, with actual quality players........I feel in time we can be a top 6-8 side. It's like SBR, once said "People want success. It's like coffee, they want instant." Well go and support a fair weathered club like Manchester City or Chelsea..............or even buy a red and white shirt from down the road

NUFC/Win/Lose or Draw.

the unthinkable has happened... Xisco has been released!

How long is Ben arfa still out for? I anyone knows

couple more weeks as far as I can see.

Mbabu is highly rated, apparently we have paid £1m for him. Xisco gone. I actually feel a bit sorry for him, never got a chance to show what he could do.

Want to say congrats to Newcastle for the win but was a little dissappointed with the booing for Ba pre game and cheering when he came off with a broken nose. Just think maybe some of your lot have short memories and/or a little delusional. Sissoko was magnificent and from minute 1 was always going to be a fans favourite.

Coloccini won the fans back in the most violent way possible.

It happens at every club...

Not really no, Ba moved because it was a step up can they not see that and just be happy for what he done for them? SWP's name was cheered last month when we played QPR at home and Jack Cork's also who never even played a game for us. Ba contributed more to NUFC than what both of them did to Chelsea together.

Were Jack Cork and SWP key players who Chelsea took a big risk on because of injuries? Did they also turn down a contact offer 6 months before they left because they wanted to keep a really low release clause because they knew big clubs would want them?

Why would he sign a new contract when he knew he could better himself? It seems as if some fans don't understand that "a move up".

So Newcastle could get what he is worth. He dosent give a **** about Newcastle just about where his next pay day is coming from. Thats why the fans are ****** off

So the move was 100% about money? That is where my point of delusion sets in.

I'm not saying it was all about money but if Newcastle could offer more than Chelsea he would have stayed. What the Newcastle fans dont like is the 7mil release clause with him taking 2mil. Then not signing a new contract in the summer

Demba Ba worked his socks off for the club, then turned his back on us when the going got tough. I used to think, finally a centre forward we can be proud of...not anymore, and i hope he has a VERY bad career from this point!!!
See how Colo has stuck it out..an repayed us with some awesome footwork to Dembas face (i reckon alot of geordies wish they could do this an get away with it)!
Players who dont show any loyalty to a club, dont deserve to be greeted well by fans...theyre a plague that is spread by greed. Shearer isnt just idolised by Newcastle fans for is goals, its also because of his loyalty :)

He has been offered more money as well as a better chance of success, why would he not go? It's too simple just to say players aren't loyal when nearly everyone is looking to further their careers, why can't footballers? Newcastle was Shearer's boyhood club and it was his dream to play for them.

I respect players who are loyal to one or two clubs for their whole career but really it's silly to expect every players to be the same. Now if players go disrespecting the club etc that's a different kettle of fish.
