Ridsdale has announced a Press-Conference for 11.30am tomorrow morning, with the subject of the meeting, unknown. Its believed to be announcing the clubs new Shirt-Sponsors, replacing the red blob of Ginsters. If it wasn't anything to do with the takeover, I'm sure the Administrator would deal with it. I would like it to be the announcement of some new players, but thats very unlikely. Knowing our luck it will be Reid has left Argyle... :P

Truro tomorrow night also, hopefully some of the trialists will impress.

rory fallon is officially on trail with the glovers along with bas savage who were both quality tonight against a strong cardiff side

N'Gala... Maclean... Now Fallon... Are you building a team of Argyle Rejects?!

How did Cardiff look? I heard first half mainly Cardiff, second half all Yeovil and Heaton kept us in the match

well i wouldn't call them rejects, you'd probably like them back tbh, with the exeption of maclean,

your pretty much spot on, first half we were lucky to only concede 1 second half was the same but reversed

I wouldn't want Maclean or N'Gala back- We have much better CB's than N'Gala, he's too rash, too lazy. As for Fallon, we only have 1 striker, so for now I wouldn't mind him back but he's not good enough for League One. A Maclean/Fallon partnership was tried at the start of the season, they are equals. Neither work hard for the team, you always want One Goalscorer who is proven, and another who will do the work-rate [ie- rooney & hernandez]. Maclean & Fallon are just lazy, won't do the work-rate and won't score the goals.

maclean won't be starting if we get fallon, it'll be fallon and agard which could work superbly i reckon with some great creative mids to support them!

Jo Kuffour, who I think is absolutely ****, played really well last night, he was hungry, skinned opposition and even managed to trap the ball without it going out for a throw! If he plays like that in the season then I will take everything back that I've said about him.

Rovers A team 1-0 Reading B team
Rovers B team 0-2 Reading A team.

I disagree, Fallon is a big team player and a hard worker when I have seen him on SS.

Well its not like SSN shows the aimless long-ball thrown towards him, the way he then doesn't jump for these, and if he does jump normally ends up giving away a free-kick. ;) Good up front with someone like BWP, not Maclean.

BWP is similar to agard so could work, and maclean would work well with agard too. then we have 2 fast strikers and 2 target men strong strikers if we got fallon!

Nice win tonight, fairly straightfoward. For the first time in living memory, we actually played some nice football. Just about everyone looked capable on the ball, everyone looked for the pass and we avoided the tedious zzz long-ball to target-man that has plagued us for so many years. Truro had a few of our former players, Hayles looked aquedate, as did Stevie Adams. Encouraging signs for the new season but apparently Ridsdale was throwing abuse from the Directors Box at Peter Reid and his players. I'm not sure if this is true, but if so, Ridsdale should get lost and not bother coming back.

Best attendance in 2 years last night vs PSV. We played them off the park and were 2-1 up until the 60th minute then PSV bagged 2 quick goals to win 3-2. But that doesn't matter, it was a packed house because JUNINHO came back to play his final game. MFCs greatest servant and most talented player, wonderful to see him off. He's still got it as well, grew up worshipping his skills and when he said goodbye after the LC final he cried... **** the entire Riverside cried. It was just amazing to see him again and he hasn't ruled out a coaching role. Can't praise the little fella enough.

good draw with a strong soton team, very impressed with steer, fallon, wotton, upson and haynes brown

Argyle are set to confirm the signing of Ben Gibson on loan from Middlesborough, after he was at a Fans Event today signing autograph's and getting to know his team-mates; Boro fans, what is this man like? I know he's a defender, but not alot more than that...

Just the one. ;)

He's a good prospect, we have so many kids it's easy to get lost but Gibson is a genuine hope at LB.

My advice would be expect a bit of dynamism and solidity but don't expect him to be too offensive. We really don't have a good record of producing dynamic FB's, Taylor/Mcmahon/Parnaby etc.

Good player though, think he's going to be better than Joe Bennett.

Really academy hopes at MFC are Park/Reach/Wyke/Williams.

Glad you didn't take Jackson on loan, got real hopes for him.

Unbeaten pre season ends with 3-2 win over Newcastle. Gives me optimism for the new season, although we do need more strength in depth. Hopefully we sign up a couple of the trialists we have, they seem to have done well.
