28 September 2011Statement from The P&A Partnership re Plymouth Argyle Football Company Limited (in administration)The joint administrators of Plymouth Argyle Football Company Limited (in administration) today (Wednesday 28 September) announce an agreement in principle with the Akkeron Group for the sale of the football club.Brendan Guilfoyle of The P&A Partnership said: “The administrators and the Akkeron Group are committed to completing the deal next month. The precise timing will depend on the Football League’s transfer of the club’s ‘golden share’.“We have consulted various parties and I must thank them for their flexibility in enabling us to negotiate and agree a deal with the Akkeron Group. In particular I would like to thank staff and players as throughout this complex and protracted process they have put the rescue of their club above their own interests.”Ends

Looking foward to todays match- A chance to climb out the relegation zone.

Crawley are a superb side though, but we have to make the most of their inconsistency. I remember a Torquay fan telling me how they were pwned by Crawley, so I have some mixed feelings.
COYG! ;)

Back to back victories for the Iron :). Another hard fought win today against Stevenage, 7 points from our last 3... playoffs here we come! :D

Developments from this evening that have over-shadowed the football- Former chairman Paul Stapleton and Two Directors have submitted a bid for the football club. Of course, the delay in talking to them etc, could kill the football club. Tomorrow morning a series of protests have been planned, and the Green Army are certain not to let Stapleton and the other wankers continue with this. Once again, we've been pushed towards the coffin :@

Fans Reunited, we'll never be defeated...

Accrington Stanley v Tranmere Rovers match abandoned due to serious injury to 18 year old Accrington player Thomas Bender. Caught in the air in collision, was unconciouss for 30 minutes :(. Oxygen and fluids were applied. Was actually fearing the worst as a few people said it was a broken neck.

Hope to god he's okay.

Accrington's Tom Bender suffers suspected broken neck | Mail Online

Judging by that 3 way collision, it does not look good at all. But there are reports he was starting to come around a little bit as he got taken away on the stretcher.

Felt horrible when I heard, makes me squeamish. Hope he makes a full recovery and plays again.

The people who said he may have broken his neck were at the match and saw the whole thing. Sounds horrible when I say this, but I hope it's nothing more than concussion. Obviously that sort of injury is very serious, but I'd rather it be that, than having an 18 year old footballer break his neck and never play again. Though obviously I'd rather it not be any injury at all.

Seen pictures of the collision on the Mail Website, looks horrendous, hope he makes a quick and speedy recovery.

Thankfully he's now in a stable condition. However he's not always responsive.

Hope the kid gets well soon! Also saw the pic on DM website, looks horrible. Thoughts with his family, friends and colleagues!

Excellent news. Had a scan and its all clear-nothing broken or anything, has concussion. Genuinely relieved to hear that
