Championship team of the year:

Kelvin Davies (Southampton)

Nathaniel Clyne (crippled alice)
James Tomkins (WHU)
Curtis Davies (Birmingham)
Ian Harte (Reading)

Adam Lallana (Southampton)
Peter Wittingham (Cardiff)
Mark Noble (WHU)
Matt Phillips (Blackpool)

Rickie Lambert (Southampton)
Jay Rodriguez (Burnley)

Agree with that team except for Jay Rodriguez - Vaz Te, McCormack and Sharp will be dissapointed with that

Glad to see Whittingham in there, fully deserved!

League 1 team of they year:

Ben Hamer (Charlton)

Jack Hunt (Huddersfield)
Michael Morrison (Charlton)
Harry Maguire (Sheff U)
Rhoys Wiggins (Charlton)

Stephen Quinn (Sheff U)
Stephen Gleeson (MK dons)
Darren Potter (MK dons)
Johnnie Jackson (Charlton)

Ched Evans (Sheff U)
Jordan Rhodes (Huddersfield)

I'm not sure how Ben Hamer is there, as he has been shaky at times and is pretty much the only player I think we need to replace next season. How Chris Solly is not at right back is an absolute joke tbh. Also I think Sheffield Wednesday, specifically Danny Batth/ Reda Johnson can consider themselves unlucky. A lot of criticism for Evans being in there as well after all that's happened.

Reda's been out too much to get it. Batth not getting in is just wrong. And how Darren Pass-it-sideways Potter got in there I will never know!

Stephen Quinn is a bit lucky to be in there an all. Why shouldn't Ched be in there he's been the best striker in the league can't take that away no matter what has happened. Had the Antonio been playing for W*******y for longer he could have been there. Not often I say much like that.

I just want to say last nights performance pleased me away to Leicester. Its a tough place to go and coming from a goal behind to win the match 2-1 shows how much character the boys have. Even if we have to go through the Play-offs, our performance last night pleased me.

Quite simply, we have to hope Coventry beat or draw against Southampton and we need to by 3 or 4 goals to go up, depending on how many Southampton score. Now, I'm not going to be someone and say It will be impossible for Coventry to go to St Marys and grab a win, As we all know anything can happen in Football. I wouldn't bet against Southampton wobbling again and throwing Promotion away, they threw it Away against Boro' and they could do the same against Coventry, Im nervous like **** for Saturday, I gotta tell ya. "X" In West Ham we believe "X" COME ON U IRONS!

I agree with you- the votes were cast before he was sentenced and from a footballing point of view he has clearly been in the top 2 strikers this season, so he deserves his place. But a lot of people seem to think he should have had his place stripped.

I watched this game yesterday and was very impressed with West Ham. Almost the perfect away performance for a lower league game. Even if you don't get in the top 2 it bodes well going into the playoffs, although I think this year's playoffs are going to be the toughest for years.

Lol. How has Semedo been for you this season btw? I was disappointed when he left but Danny Hollands has been immense this season to the point where we've completely forgotten about Semedo!

probably our best player in all honesty. guess that shows why we're going up in second and you're in first

congratulations to Southampton, deserved promotion for them

Finally understanding what it means to be a Blade. Out of all the times United have kicked the fans in the bollocks this season could be the biggest.

Also thanks to the part-time supporters for the half-time booing. See you again on the next big occasion or in the Premier League for some of you. One bloke in front of me even brought a paper. What a tool!!

Just wanted to say a huge Congratulations to So'ton, they dominated the early part of the season and their squad was so strong. We played good I thought against Hull, before the game kicked off, I kinda accepted Play-offs just hoped for a miracle from Coventry, never happend. We played pretty good and we are in good form going into the play offs which is a bonus and keeps our hopes of PL football alive.

Thursday, I'm going to be a wreck and all my emotions are going to be coming out over the 2 legs. Just wanted to ask Blackpool, Birmingham and Cardiff fans, how much are tickets for you for the Home tie in the Play-offs? We are selling them for £25 for Adults and £15 for U-16's, which is very, very good. £25 for a Play-off Semi Final is brilliant, my ticket is definately booked and considering its the second leg, my nerves are going to be brittle. Going to be an amazing atmosphere though.

Yesterday confirms our position as the biggest bottlers in the history of English football. I honestly can't think of a set of fans anywhere in the country that has been let down, spat on, kicked in the genitals and just generally been disappointed more than Blades. We just **** up EVERY SINGLE TIME. I suppose there could be one more twist as Wycombe aren't actually that bad a side and Beavon is more than capable of grabbing a goal or two but it seems very unlikely and our failure in the play-offs is inevitable. It's actually quite comical how easy it is to see what's going to happen.

We've had chances to pull away, 14 points at one stage I think but time after time we've bottled it. We aren't going up not because we only drew 2-2 with Stevenage; we aren't going up because of the points we've managed to p1ss away against Oldham, Walsall, Tranmere (x2), Exeter, Colchester, the Pigs at the Lane and many more. The Oldham game was a real turning point and if we'd have won that we've had been good as up. We led for so long and to fail now is just horrible.

Everything that could have gone wrong has in the past few weeks from Evans' court case to the complete no show of a performance against MK Dons to Hoskins having a double hernia to yesterday. I don't want to go into Evans' court case as it's a touchy subject and it's horrible to bring football matters into it but for me we'd have had it sewn up by now if he was still in the side; Porter is absolutely ****** pathetic and O'Halllororororonan or whatever is name is clueless, he's fast but has no idea what to do with a ball when he gets into the final third. Compare him, Hoskins and Hill with Antonio, Marshall and Batth and you'll see how much more effective they are at loan signings than us.

I've proper enjoyed this season and I'd be more than happy to stay another year in this division if we kept hold of the squad we have now but sadly this ain't going to happen, it's stating the obvious but we really aren't sustainable at this level with this squad. Assets we do have like Willo, Macca, Lowton, Harry, Quinn (Thank god for that he's stole a wage since October) will all be moving on plus all the out of contract players and the dead wood such as Simmo, Andy Taylor, Williams (what a bizzare signing he was), King James BT, Porter, Harry Hill, Hoskins, Ertl and perhaps a few like Coneelly and Philliskirk will all be moving on. Assuming we stay down I can see us starting the season with:

Howard/Long
New RB/Coneelly - Collins - New CB - LJF
Flynn - Doyle - Monty/McCallister/Whitehouse/New CM - Tonne/New LM
Cressy - New STR/Porter/Ironside

It doesn't make for pleasant reading.

Wilsons done a fantastic job and has been unlucky that Charlton and the Pigs have been so ******* good in some respects, 92 points would've been enough to win the league most years. But he now faces a mammoth task in getting us motivated for the play-offs and succeeding where we always fail.

UTB FTO.

Having been on BladesMad and reading a lot of the stuff on there this is the post that I actually agree with 100% and you are so right. I was sat in pub before the game yesterday and it comes on that Brentford have equalised and the place is rocking for about 5 minutes until they go and score again. I was just sat there thinking it's going to happen again we will **** up once again.

My dads mate summed up being a Blade perfectly. He said the team build your hopes up that finally they will do summat and then all of a sudden some fat ***** has your bollocks resting on the table and then smashes em to bits with a mallet.

On the positive side there was talk that Hoskins could come back next season. Also Willo said he would like to renew his contract but if we were in this league his wages would be a lot less would he want that? I'm not sure.

For me I reckon our squad will be something like this:

Simmo (no one will take him)
Howard
Long

LJF
Ertl
Collins
Taylor
Maguire (Hope we keep him. Tbh he's shown signs that he isn't ready just yet. Another season with us will do him good)
Williams
Conneely

Monty
Doyle (Been a huge improvement this year)
Flynn
Matty Harriot
McAllister (Got rave reviews from Shrewsbury fans when on loan)
Tonne
KMac (Really hope so)
Whitehouse

Cresswell
Porter (FFS!!!)
Philliskirk
Chappell

Wherever Quinn wants to go I will drive him there and I'm not old enough to drive but **** it needs must. Lowton, Willo and Quinn will all be sold. Ched and Beattie we will be out of contract.

If we don't go up this year it ain't a bad side and with a couple of additions in certain positions (A STRIKER) we could be ok. Players like Whitehouse and Chappell need games out on loan to get some practise.

The fans need to give Wilson time though to get things right because we definitely won't be an auto push next year IF we stay down. Let's not forget Wednesday have wobbled before in front of a big crowd on the last day before. Remember Palace.

KEEP THE FAITH!!!

See you in the playoffs, roll on thursday!
