I predict Blackpool or Birmingham to win the play offs

Birmingham for me. Saw the way that they played against West Ham and I can't see past them to win it. That said, and I know it's a cliché, but the playoffs are a lottery.

Honestly can't predict. WHU are the best team there on paper, but have the possible psychological blow of '3rd place syndrome', Birmingham have some real quality and can beat anyone on a given day, Blackpool have done it before and are the joker in the pack, and Cardiff have already been to Wembley this year and played a good game. It's the first playoff I can remember for a while where there hasn't been an obvious underdog. If I had to predict I will say Birmingham.

Getting nervous about Danny Woodards' contract. Seriously hope he signs a new one. Best RB we've had at Rovers for ages!

Well done Wednesday. Held your nerve when we couldn't and have to say bringing in Dave Jones was a brilliant move.

Absolutely gutted, we've been so consistent virtually all year, have been 2nd since Christmas but these last 3 games have been awful. May sound like sour grapes but Wednesday have had unbelievable luck with their 94th minute winner v Carlisle and their 2-1 win against Brentford despite getting battered for the whole match and should have been down to 10 men, whilst we concede a last minute equaliser to Exeter and 2 deflected goals against Stevenage. It's a ****** cruel game football and you honestly couldn't make up what's happened to us since Ched Evans got sent to prison.

Have to say that if there is any sort of justice or footballing god then we'll go up through the play-off's rather than a team who we finished 17, 10 or 9 points infront of - for me this is exactly what is wrong with the current system and they need a major revamp; I've said this for a while.

Genuinely can't see us beating an in-form Stevenage over 2 legs.

They do say good teams still win when you're playing bad.

Anyway, we're going up, we're going up!

Played well today and should of had 4 or 5 and the day was made better by the pitch invasion!

Be all over by first leg. Seen nowt over the last 3 games. I hope Beattie carried on walking through the tunnel and out into the wilderness hopefully some will have realised how wank he actually is and stop treating him like a God

To be fair to Wednesday they have been on a reyt run but for me we could be stuck in this division for a very long time. Although 90 points should be enough to secure autos and we have been so unlucky. Wednesday will pull away from us now as Mandaric will put money in and could end up going straight through. Most worrying thing is me dad says it's exactly same as when we went down to fourth in 80's they went up we missed out and were relegated a couple of seasons later.

More chance of us winning World Cup than these play offs.

And any fan who reckons their team has thrown owt away this year wants to come and support the Blades when your guaranteed it every year.

Great support today and we now have the two highest attendances outside of the Prem with 38,000 there today!

Larrieu :(

Announced his retirement as a player after 11 years at Argyle. Legend and a fantastic keeper!

Nothing against Wilson but we would have gone up with Warnock.

Just came across this video on you tube and his passion for the club was like no other. I know I'm being sentimental but I'm pretty miserable right now.

quite an insightful video that and as much of a *** as he is, can't knock his passion.

best of luck in playoffs, sincerely. I don't think you'll do it, I think the disappointment of throwing away automatic right at the end and the lack of strikers will make it too difficult but I hope I'm wrong. absolutely gutted the season's over if I'm honest

Wednesday fans don't think we will do it. United fans KNOW we won't do it. We always bottle it in the play-offs especially the final.

When we played Burnley we just missed out on the autos and was a complete no show under Twatwell. The Wolves one we should have been more prepared as Leicester and Portsmouth were promoted well before the end of the season but again another no show.

Most worrying thing for me is we haven't won in 3 and conceding in the last minute yesterday could have bad effects I'm not holding out on getting to the final tbh.

On the Warnock thing some of the things he says and does are as funny as ****. Love him or hate him I think deep down we all want him as manager because he will get you promoted and he has proven this at almost every club he has been at.

It's stating the obvious but for me the most worrying thing going into the play-offs is our striking options. The defence are a bit shaky at the minute but that can be sorted out, we know that Maguire/Collins/Lowton are all good players in this division and it's up to Wilson to get them back on track. However we don't have that luxury up-front, we go into the play offs with literally no-one available besides an injured Cresswell and fvcking Chris Porter. O'Halloran isn't a striker and I have no idea whether he'll still be here come Friday. A half fit Cresswell and Porter, hardly inspires confidence and quite frankly the latter of those two is ******* abysmal and couldn't score in a brothel. Philliskirk, Ironside or Tonne perhaps but from what I've heard Phillis isn't good enough yet, Tonne is still at York and Ironside hasn't ever been on the bench all year.

Maybe a change in formation and Willo in a more advanced role, he has 13 goals so can obviously put the ball in the net. Something like:

Simmo
Lowton - Collins - Maguire - Taylor
Flynn - McD - Doyle - Quinn
Willo
Cresswell

I don't know. I know it's unlikely but please can we do it just this once, it'd be awful to see a whole season of fantastic work go to waste. Come on Wilson.

Antonio got Wednesday up

FACT

He is such a good player, fast, skillful and can score. Apparently we have put a 750k bid in for him (rumoured to be part of the loan deal) as Reading said they would be willing to sell him to us at the right price.

Don't think Wilson will change from 442 especially as that is what we have been playing all season. The bad news is Porter will probably play.

Funny thing happened at the beamback yesterday was when on the commentary they announced that Porter was getting read to come on there was this collective groan and the occasional "of for ***** sake". Derby must have been laughing their bollocks off when they realised they got rid of him the useless piece of ****.

Hope he goes to you. Don't see him getting a look in at Reading in the prem and i like Wednesday

who needs Ben Marshall, eh?

Broken leg for Danny Woodards. Feel gutted for the lad, really is a fantastic player-capable of playing much higher than League 2 football.

Bit of a nasty thing to say but it's a blessing in disguise as he would be more likely to stay with us!
