BBC Sport - Cheltenham Town v Crewe Alexandra

Crewe Alexandra gain promotion to the nPower League One after a 2-0 win over promotion rivals Cheltenham Town. A cracking volley from Nick Powell and Byron Moore sealed the win with 8 minutes to go. This promotion marks the end of Steve Davis' first season at the club after replacing club legend Dario Gradi, who has gone on to take a role as director of football and academy director.

It's a shame because Cheltenham are my local club and I would have loved for them to go up. However, they did throw away a brilliant lead at the closing stages of the season (they were in 2nd, only goal difference off first, at one point)! I think next season, we will get promoted! COYR!

I watched this game and was impressed with Crewe, especially young Nick Powell (again). Think he's championship bound this summer.

24,000 attendance at the P/O Final is absolutely shocking!

Rovers apparently in the hunt for Jose Veiga and Ross Draper both of Macclesfield. Anyone know if they're any good?

Anthony Gardner (plus another) apparently signing for Wednesday next week. Seems we are getting a few deals done quickly.

Cardiff City F.C have now officially rebranded.

Disgusting.

Hopefully no Cardiff fans buy the new shirt.

It would show em if everyone turned up in last seasons blue home shirt for the first game. Disgusting what they have done.

I for one will never be seen in that red shirt, not sure if people have seen the new badge, i could have drawn a better one on DrawSomething

A lot of fans have decided against renewing for next season which is a shame, but more sadly there is a massive divide and almost civil war (dramtic description I know) between the fans who are split between the issue, it's a tough time to be a Cardiff fan right now - its never easy to be fair

I don't understand, how is changing the badge and shirt colour going to bring in investment?

It's a complete sell out, I'd be so ****** off if this happened to my club. I'm shocked that they can just change a clubs identity like that.. Still, not as crazy as Arsenal or MK, though. Wouldn't surprise me to see fans boycotting games/ creating an AFC Cardiff, although, fans are fickle, they'll come back once you're in the Premier League.

The Malaysian owners said they would invest £100m+ in the club if they change their colours to red. Apparently the decision was down to something ridiculous like red being considered a lucky colour in Asia..

Could they not have just had a red away kit!? :/

that's just... retarded :S

I think it is the best for the club as they said club could of went into administration if they didn't rebrand

I think we'll make the playoffs at least this season. [You can hold me to that too, if I'm wrong, meh]

I have a good feeling about this season. Everything feels fresh- A young and hungry manager, an owner who knows what he's doing, and slowly but surely turning Home Park back into the fortress it should be. The end of last season you got the feel of a real togetherness- Between fans, players and even the owner. I hope that carries on into next season and beyond...

Of course I might be talking complete bollocks, and we'll end up finishing 17th.

edit: http://www.greensonscreen.co.uk/season1112.asp A small season review, with a few pictures. It brings back some memories!

Cardiff sign Jordan Mutch from Birmingham City

Delighted with this signing

Must be bored of playing in blue!

Things are looking awful at our club!

Also, please note that it's Jordon not Jordan, that's a spelling error that really annoys me.

But nevertheless, he's a good player, you'll see some rash passing at times though.

EDIT: Transfer fee confirmed at £3m

why did he leave? Thought he was a good young player? Birmingham forced to sell?

As a Leicester fan I expect another poor season. I'd be happy with 7th. The team Pearson is building for me is no way strong enough to finish in the top 6 let alone win the league like most of are fans expect.

Are there many other Leicester fans on here? Would be nice to here other views

rumours of Leeds going for Peltier, good signing?

The quicker Peltier is out the better. Expected big things from him but borderline average all season. Would snap Leeds hands off for 500k. Also Huddersfield are interested in him as well. Fingers crossed
