Looks like Lee Clark is close to becoming new Birmingham manager. We're playing them first game of the season at St. Andrew's and I'm not expecting a result, but I'd love us to beat Lee Clark if he does get the job.

A good productive meeting between fans and board yesterday over the whole rebrand - FINALLY!

The only thing that really peeves me off about the rebrand was that there was no consultation with fans at all, this will be the only season with that god ugly badge and a fan vote will be taken to determine a new one

The only bad thing would see the return as Sam Hammam as "life president" the man who put our club in the crapper and claiming we would be 'bigger than Barca' the guy is a **** and his return would end up with more fan unrest than the rebrand

But supposedly, Cardiff will begin talks with Liverpool over Craig Bellamy within a week - but I doubt it

Thoughts go out to Danny Woodards who's younger brother was fatally stabbed at the Westfield Shopping Center.

Only 24. Such a waste of a life... :/

BBC Sport - John Fleck joins Coventry after leaving Rangers
Always used to sign him on FM because he had good potential, what happened to him? :S

Lol, same. I loaned him and Wilshere one season and they almost single handedly took me to the EPL, before leaving for their
parent clubs. I was stuck in the top flight with almost no funds and a league 1 squad lol, needless to say I was relegated with about 7 wins all season :)

Watford apooint Zola, giving him a two year deal

Watford apooint Zola, giving him a two year deal

Decent appointment for Wigan. Zola had West Ham playing nice attacking football and was not afraid of giving youngsters sufficient opportunities such as James Tomkins and Jack Collision

Not to mention he was apparently not given the full backing of the board. Not consulted over a bid for one player I think.

Hopefully he does well

Incredibly harsh on Sean Dyche. I doubt he will find it too hard to find another job, probably in league 1.

That's football these days sadly. Can do a great job for the club, and still get the chop. Be bottom of the table 10 games in with 30 odd to go-get the chop. Too many rash decisions in football these days, which pretty much stalls the progress of many clubs.

I guess if the new board inject cash into the club and Zola hits the ground running the fans will forget about Dyche in a heartbeat. At this particular moment in time however, I would be disappointed with this were I a Watford fan.

Kenny Miller leaves Cardiff City to join Vancouver Whitecaps

Farewell Kenny, but it wasn't working, he was a woeful signing and now we have more money to strike a deal with Bellamy, could be good for all involved

Cardiff also close to beating Celtic and Dortmund to signing of Korean midfielder Kim Bo-Kyung

wigan haven't appointed anyone mate i think you meant watford

O'Driscol new Nottingham Forest boss .... any thoughts ?

I am a forest fan and was at first skeptical of the appointment but after reading an interview with him and listening to an interview with Andy Reid ( Forest midfielder ) i have revised my ideas and believe it could be beneficial for the club . let me know your thoughts even if you aren't a forest fan . hearing from Doncaster , Bournemouth or Crawley fans would be very insightful . thanks

Did well with Doncaster getting them promoted. Will totally depend on who he buys, and whether he can hit the ground running. My understanding of the situation is he has to buy quite a few players before the season starts.

ye he will need to buy a few defenders as forest only have 2 first team defenders atm and they are both right backs

I watched a fair few Bournemouth games when he was manager and he did try to get the team playing good football. It's a stellar appointment, but it could turn out to be a good one.

not an iconic figure but with a bit of backing he will get forest playing good football

next crawley manager

sean dyche possibly but i would take a gamble on a barca u19 manager or someone like tht and that is why i think it would be good if you could takeover teams on fm with your earning so you could take those risks

Barcelona or Crawley? I know where I'd rather be ;)

We've got 32 year old Rhys Griffiths on trial from Port Talbot. He scored 180 goals in 181 appereances for Llaneli and recently moved to Port Talbot [And played in their friendly on Saturday] but will start for us against [the mighty] Truro tomorrow night. I suppose so the trial will see if he's good enough for the Football League, you can't fault that scoring record!

We've also been linked with Jamie Cureton, apparently we've offered him more wages than Exeter have, but that could be bullshit.
