erm, did you just call Jamie Cureton ****? :O

One of the best Reading players eva!

If he's one of your best players ever, your club can't have too many players on their wall of fame! ;)

But yeah, seriously Sid- I remember Mackie's debut for us, a cold winters night against Barnsley. He come off the bench, and I remember muttering the words "Lets see what this conference lad can do" and within 30 seconds he scored- and then added another one later on. Fantastic player, love everything about him!

Yeah, he's such an awesome bloke, so passionate, his start to the season was phenomenal and although he dropped a bit afterwards, i hope he gets a fair crack at the PL

Proud of all the players yesterday. After the game they were fantastic! All the Rovers fans were doing a conga, the players came over and started clapping. We all moved up the barrier, Hoskins threw his shirt in, Senda gave his boots away, Logan threw his gloves. All the players shook the hand and hugged every single fan that was down the front for them.

Outside of the ground as the players boarded the coach. They all came out and had a chat! Byron Anthony, JP Kalala, and many others were shaking our hands and joining in with songs. It was fantastic! After they boarded the coach, Logan was walking to his car and he stopped and spoke to us for about 1/2 hour! After we finished chatting with him, we were sat outside our minibus, he drove past us, stopped, and shouted Goodnight Irene and Up the Gas! What a guy!

Proud of all of them yesterday. Proud to be a Gashead!!!

You know, there is a flipside to everything. For every relegation, there's a better season ahead. But here.. For all the financial and off-the field troubles, the fans, players and staff have united... We've been there for one another.. and you know it makes me proud. Because, you look at Stockports pitch protests and you look at Arsenal Fans on here moaning at Wenger.. And it just makes you think, I'm glad to be a Pilgrim. Because we're a family, and well- I'll never forget the hard work the players, staff and Peter Reid done to this football club. They are legends in my eye's, and well... the lap of honour bought me [and many others] into tears. Because this has been an emotionally draining season, but one we can be ever so proud of our heroes...

Stephane Zubar [Our beastly CB] just updated on Facebook: "Thanks for everything Plymouth Argyle! I will never forget!" before replying to my PM saying he's uncertain what his future lays ahead... What a season its been.....

Your attendances have dropped? Jesus christ, you better be worried if you drop into League 2 again...

only by about 500 from 5800 last season.

Broke his leg against Blackburn back in early January :(, although it wasn't that bad cos we got Routledge in for the rest of the season and he's been amazing :D

0-0 against Hartlepool. A mediocre end to a mediocre season. Some investment in the summer needed (and has been promised). Once again we have a higher average attendance than Palace and Millwall despite being a division lower. Still the biggest club in south London.

Congrats to Saints. I will miss playing you as the atmosphere is always brilliant, and the rivalry between the sides is pretty big considering we are nowhere near each other. It's almost like a derby now. Charlton and the two Sheffield clubs will now fight to be the biggest club in league 1.

******* cheating bastards ! O'Connor down with a head injury and the ref played on and they scored !?

From what i have seen at Hillsborough it should be Plymouth who stay up and Exeter that go down, Plymouth play good football all Exeter do is lump it over the top to 'old biddie' up front .

Another example of 'big club syndrome'??

I will admit, neither of us were playing at our best, but it was a fairly even match, as the stats show.

As for O'connor, I can't remember seeing him down, but I do remember you playing on in the first half when we had two players down and almost scoring, if it wasn't for your strikers bottling it, so c'est la vie.

As for just smashing it forward, just watch this video, and tell me at what point is the ball just hit to Cureton from nowhere??

We won because we were better than you and took our chances, not because of the referee.

Gonna be releasing Naylor and Higgs at end of season. Not surprising, both not good enough for Championship. Naylor has been a great captain and has always put in 100% so I will miss him

Hopefully next season John Ward can get Pablo Counago on a free and also get Kevin Lisbie and Adam le Fondre in to boost our far from good enough strike force. After all it is worrying when your winger (Henderson) has scored the most league goals (10) for your club. With John joe o'toole in centre midfield and Magnus Okuonghae hopefully fit next season in defence, i'm confident we can push for a play off place this year if we make the right signings this year, especially a goal scorer. A top 10 finish was good this year and a realistic achievement for us this season but next season we should be pushing for the play offs as our defence and midfield is good enough to compete in the top 6; it's just our strike force that lets us down against big teams.

Yes your player's were down but not with head injuries and i blamed the ref for one goal which by rights cost us the game.

If we hadn't of had to replace Jones we would of won as you were doing nothing vs him.

Le Fondre will go to a much bigger club than Colchester, Mid Table championship at least. I think next season could be interesting in league one, and probably closer than last year. I don't think anyone's going to run away with the league like brighton did, and I think there could be as many as 10 teams aiming for at least the playoffs.

I'm not too sure about that. We was close to signing him last season on deadline day, but a deal involving Fallon going to Rotherham fell through. I don't think any Championship Teams would take that chance on Le Fondre, until proven at L1- Maybe someone like Sheffield United or Preston would be interested. Of course, Rotherham wouldn't let him go on the cheap, so whether they'd be priced out I'm not sure.

We are after him and he has openly said that he wants to leave Rotherham

Cardiff and Huddersfield both had bids rejected for him on deadline day in January, and then Barnsley and Derby as well as Plymuff on deadline day in the summer, and I've also heard there's some Scots looking at him too. I would be amazed if he went any lower than low championship, unless as giggles said he goes to Sheffield United or Preston.

And according to an article I was just reading the swap deal with Fallon was turned down 'in seconds', not sure how long his contract is, but if he's not out of contract, I can see him going for a million

It amazes me how many players are released from their club each year [In the mornings, I see a whole host of them on Sky Sports News] and it always leaves me thinking- I wonder if we could snap them up. One name I remember seeing this morning was Ivan Sproule who was released from Bristol City.

I'm not sure how much wages he's on a week, and I'd take a guess at 3/4k a week? Obviously, he'd have to drop his wages to join us, but I reckon we could make a solid squad from Championship 'Rejects'...

True, our teams made up of off-casts mainly (Krysiak, Golbourne, Duffy, Dunne, Nardiello) with a couple of non-league gems in there like Harley, Matt Taylor and Steve Tully. Only one player in the team actually cost us anything, anf that was only 50k on Troy Archibald-Henville. You can put a team together for nothing if you scout well enough. I think Argyles problem is that whoever takes over is going to be quite careful money-wise for the first couple of seasons, so you won't have a lot to spend on wages, and I think a lot of players could well be hesitant on going too, especially if Torquay go up, as the 3 devon teams are bound to be going for at least some of the same players, and Argyle and Torquay's squad will be fairly similar in quality, but a division apart, so they will go for the Turks.
Could be an intresting one down here next season.

And I think Hibs are after sproule anyway, not sure why though, he's not that good.
