The Scottish in general dont like us English, why the **** should we allow them to play in our League? we dont need them, only they will benefit really. The fact Scotland has such a weak domestic League is not England's problem.Scottish football in general needs a re-shuffle and a ****** good sort out.

LOL ouch JP. Your right in alot of ways but i also have to disagree in a few.

I think your right that our league is poor and needs a big re shuffle.

I don't agree when you say it would not benefit. 6k Rangers fans turning up at Wigan can only be good for Wigan with ticket sales and other general sales..Do you think Blackburn,Spurs or Villa fans turn up in those numbers? Plus there is a good few million Rangers and Celtic fans who will want to watch them week in and out which would bring in even more tv money.

As for your comments on the Scottish in general hating the English...it's not as bad as it used to be. Most Scottish people don't hate the English people...just the media and the hype surrounding the national side at every world cup or euro championship.

I for one would never discriminate anyone of any race or nation. If someone is a **** they are a **** period. ^^)

Which teams would benefit most though? Answer is clearly Celtic and Rangers, and where does that leave the rest of Scottish football?

As for the hatred id like to think your right,i certainly dont dislike the Scottish,in fact my ancestors are Scottish.

nope your wrong ... rangers and celtic get 12 million topps for getting into and playing in europe and £1.25m TV money and the bottom Premiership club last season got £27.5 TV money alone!!! Rangers and celtic have large worldwide fanbases and if they made that money they would challange within 2-3 seasons.

nah i dont like it if you remove the 2 biggest teams in scotland the scotish league will die so the only way of doing it would be to merge the scottish and english leagues and i dont like that idea, i get anoyed as its the english league yet we have cardiff swansea and a few other welsh teams in the league, i do quite like the idea of a UK league either as you would have to merge N.irish welsh, scottish and english leagues, honestly i think it should stay as it is, people bring this up every year but im sure if they were given the option celtic and rangers would prob both say no

I think that it should stay just English teams. Welsh teams are included because England absorbed Wales as a country long before the union with Scotland. If the UK league did happen then I think it would be unfair on lower league English teams who are going to get pushed down leagues. And even if they started in League 2 conference teams would be put out and the Scottish teams would lose most of their Good players as they don't want to wait 5 years to play top flight football. I also think the top Scottish teams underestimate some English teams. I reckon that the likes of Rangers and Celtic would only be looking at mid table finishes year after year. So no; its a terrible Idea.

England already subsidise Scotland in the public sector without ENGLISH teams getting weakened by their football teams as well.

i think alot of the reasone people dont want the old firm down south is due to jealousy, because if we joined the premier league and a player was given the choice of wigan, west ham, aston villa, fulham, and rangers or celtic there is only two teams they'd join and they play in glasgow. Fact is the old firm are much bigger clubs than any team outside than the big 4 in terms of fan base and the extra tv money and sponsorship money would see the old firm gatecrash the big 4 and win the premier leage within the first 5 years we were there.

Get off your soap box mate, thats about as relevant as some Dutch guy saying Ajax and PSV are bigger than ant team outside the top 4 in England.Hardly anyone in England care how big Rangers and Celtic are,the fact is every Countries League's has its big clubs and small clubs.

No offence, but please do be serious. Jealous? The only way Rangers and Celtic would get the standard of players that English teams do is if Rangers and Celtic played in the premier league. That shows it's only going to benefit them and no other english teams, if anything it will damage mid table premier league teams chances of signing a player if Rangers and Celtic are in their league. So no, it's not jealousy, it's common sense. And they don't have bigger fans bases, it just seems it because they are in a league with "smaller" teams than them, yeah so there is some other good teams like Hibernian, Hearts, Dundee etc, but Rangers and Celtic only seem like big teams because they are consistantly challenging for the title in Scotland. Fulham, West Ham, Aston Villa and Wigan are all better teams and don't bother saying why aren't they in Europe because the premier league is of a much higher standard.

the fact that everyone is dismissing a more competitive premier league is quite sad to be honest. Although you're right we only benefit by joining the premier league and if we were too we would become a bigger proposition for buyers and sponsorship deals, i have absolutely no doubt that we would win the league within 5 years as there would be people queuing up to buy our clubs if we moved. Of course we have bigger fan bases, are you trying to tell me that teams outside the big 4 have more recognition worldwide than rangers and celtic? do be serious!

I think along with Newcastle fans Celtic and Rangers fans have to be some of the most annoying fans in football, delusions of grandeur and an unshakable believe that football revolves around them totally ****** me off.

How is it sad? Because we don't want two teams in our league who think they are better than everyone else outside the top four? You would never win the league within 5 years, "do be serious!". You should have this, you deserve this, blah blah blah. Stay in your own league.

no delusions of grandeur just serious tunnel vision down south we would improve the league no end in monetary terms. i have never said we are better than teams below the big 4 because we cant compete financially at the minute but given the same money as everyone else we are a more attractive proposition for players than most of the teams outside the big 4. the two of you have proven my point, not wanting us there in case we win and take some of your money. We stay in our league, we get champions league football year in year out. We move to england we get the same money as everyone else and we can definitely become two of the biggest teams in the league. it's win win for the old firm, you lot can run and hide all you like

One of the main reason they are trying to push this is there debts and years of overspending and buying out the smaller clubs players. Both of them have been getting weaker and weaker and i really think if one of the bigger clubs can separate themselves from the pack and get a bit more consistent then they could be split again....Hearts did it a few years ago and i think it could be done again.

Ajax,Psv,Aderlecht etc etc always went on about how they were too good and trapped but look at the Dutch and Belguin league's now.

You have as much right to play in our League as Lyon,Ajax or any other team that feel they are too big for their own league. The English League doesnt need Rangers and Celtic, its not going to happen.

i never said we had any right to play in the premier league and i definitely agree with kris we are masters of our own downfall we have overspent and this is the main reason we're after the move, it's all money. I still believe everything i said on the football side and it cant be that bad for england when it's phil gartside the chairman of a "mid-league" team wanting us down there, he obviously see's the financial benefits for everyone

You sad, deluded person. Why would people want to go to you more than other teams? IF you come in our league (And I pray you don't because of people like you ruining our league) you won't be in the Europa League for maybe, 1, 2 or even 3 seasons, and your forgetting how much you will have to adapt to the english game. We don't just boot the ball up the other end of the pitch, it fast paced with nice football, which is what you don't play, that could take you a whole season to adapt to and if you don't succeed players will leave for bigger teams and you will fall lower and lower down the table. Stay in your league and have fun beating teams like Hamilton who wouldn't even get in League 1.

How does England subsidize Scotland ?

There is a higher percentage of unemployment in Scotland and a greater public sector per person. Lets say England earns £100 and Scotland earns £15. England spend £85 on themselves, Scotland spends £15 on themselves and England spend £15 on Scotland. It is due to the fact that England do not have an individual parliament and Scotland do. The Scottish Parliament does not have to give surplus to Britain but Britain has to give a percentage to Scotland. It's not elitism, I'm just saying.

Nobody wants you here, get over it. It only helps you and your teams will ruin our league. Your in Europe, aren't you happy enough? You overspent, your fault, not anyone else's, you don't deserve it. No other countries are complaining, so neither should you.

The best way forward for Rangers,Celtic and Scottish football in general is to try and formulate some plans in ways to make Scottish football more appealing and therefor attract more revenue for everyone. It will be hard,Scotland isn't massively populated and there is a lack of "prestigious" clubs but i do feel the league can be improved significantly if some of the old farts who run your game would get with the times and pull their finger out.
