Sorry to disagree with you mate, but IMO, Carlitos is way better than Rooney, just my opinion ..

Yeah, I guessed a City fan would say that. :P Still, opinion's opinion and all that, so we're going to have to agree to disagree.

I hope he stays and makes up to the fans of the greatest club in the world!!!!

What did he ever do to offend Villa fans?

That's 2 words moron. People like you give man utd fans a bad name. He's only expressing hid opinion

people like me spend thousands a year to see Manchester United home and away, to see players like Wayne Rooney wear the United shirt with pride. we stuck by him during all the bad press, throughout all the injuries. he is an idol at Old Trafford and this is how he repays us, complete lack of respect for the club and us fans.

Well thats up to you, they are going to say what the fans want to hear and thats understandable but it seems as if Utd arn't as attractive as they used to be. Now days they seem to be a feeder club for Real Madrid and they never were in the 90s.

United aren't as attractive as they used to be?
Everyone is forgetting that Wayne Rooney has literally won EVERYTHING with Manchester United. With this story about his private life coming out, maybe he thinks that he might aswell get out of the country as there isn't really much more he can do for the club anyway.

I don't hate him at all Ryan, seems to be only you. He's hardly turned his back on us. He's requested to leave the club. He hasn't demanded it. He could be a **** and by out his contract for £5M under than FIFA rules. Bet he doesn't do that though..

I'd like to think that he finds his form again, and decides that United really is the best place for him. He won't get treated this way by anyone else's fans. He is idolised by everyone. Everyone at the club knows he is the best player at the club. Before it was Ronaldo, and last season he had to prove himself and he did. I'm just thinking that maybe the fact he is the best player at the club has gotten to his head and he thinks he'll get whatever he wants because of that. Fact is he won't, and maybe now that he knows that he'll start to fix up.

Also, anyone saying that we don't have the money.. the contract that is on the table for Rooney would make him the highest player in the country so if he does want to leave it's obviously not for the money.

I hope he has a change of heart, but I honestly can't see it happening right now.

I completely agree with your thoughts on Rooney, as Im sure most people on here do. The way you put your opinions across to other people just gets their backs up though.

I think it's a disgrace that he wants to leave. If we had the money, I'd like to see him rot in the reserves for a year and a half

My point about not being as attractive is their for everyone to see. Fergie brings in players and makes them world class and he has always done that. But now days he is making them world class and then want a move to Madrid. And wasen't Utd intrested in Ozil and Di Maria and look where they both went?? They arn't the prospect they used to be and its just the way it is at the moment, i personly don't think he is right for doing this to Utd but its up to him and i won't cheer his name any less when he turns out for England.

Can only see Inter as a realistic option, got the money and Benitez hasn't seemed to have put much belief in Milito so far this season.

Its ok mate honestly i understand. I hope he stays i really do but i don't think he will now.

i agree, im letting anger get the better of me, but suggest John Terry, Steven Gerrard come out and confirmed they wanted to leave their clubs and I wrote about how happy etc about it, im sure people would react in a simular way.

United were not after Di maria, Ozil didnt want to join becuase he got a better offer and the league is too physical. your point has a lot of holes

If Wayne Rooney wants to leave the club then fair enough, but I just really hope he doesn't join an English club, it would be such a horrible thing to witness, I really do hope there's a twist and he will stay though obviously because he's just a great player... I really don't like this situation :(

He probably just wants to move to a bigger club like Madrid, or a club that will be challenging for honours in a year or two, like City, whereas United will be asset-stripping to pay off debt.

ok everyone, chill out Rooney will not go anywhere, Fergie is playing mind games with Rooney for him to catch a fu....ng wake up! shape up or ship out is what Fergie is implying... Rooney 6 months ago said that he wants to retire at United... now just chill and dont be swayed by the media as this is how they make money and get people's attention...

Beckham bust up with Fergie
Ruud bust up with Fergie
Ronaldo always dreamed of Madrid
And United easily have the youth with most potential. In the world.

He would be booed in Manchester and in Liverpool ..

So your telling me that players who become world class stay because its becoming less and less now days. The world class players for Utd in the 90s would never leave Utd and they didn't i mean look at Neville, Scholes and Giggs all still at Utd.

imo you never should be reading it mate the mans a **** just like 99% of all footballers at the end of the day :(

Seriously Raikain, if these are mind-games, he's a genius but will be the fault of hundreds of thousands of Heart attacks throughout the world.

Man Utd fans I can understand why you're cross with Rooney, he's your best player, but if the guy wants to leave, he wants to leave, so many of you are already assuming that he's going to join Man City even though there are no concrete reports that Rooney has any inclination to move to Man City at all, it's just paper talk that is always going to happen.

If he wants to leave, that's his decision, you can't expect every player to be like Scholes, Giggs and Neville and stay at Man Utd for their whole careers.

Beckham left and you still love him.

Keane left (under very dubious circumstances) and you still love him.

Best left and you still love him.

Law left, went to Man City and scored a goal that got your lot relegated, and you still love him.

Rooney may leave, but he's still given Man Utd 6 of the best years of his career, winning Premier Leagues and the Champions league with you, if he goes, accept it and be happy that you had such a great player playing for you for these years of success, and trust in Ferguson to find a quality replacement as he has done for so many players previously.
