I can't believe what that humongous divvy Southgate has come out with about penalty's.

Far from protecting your players, you're being highly F insulting to them! And giving in to the racists.

I'd be F fuming if I was a black player under him. Archaic thinking *****,

Has the 5. Sub rule been confirmed?

Yes mate. Sense has finally prevailed.

That should make a massive change across squads next season. Aside from protecting player welfare. You can now rotate half-to-half. Never mind game-to-game.

And in a mad season like the upcoming one, with all the Champions League/ other European competition groups done by November, with literally a game every 3 days or so from the get-go, never has it's introduction been more timely.

Should put a completely different slant on a lot of squad players now too who may have been looking for more game time elsewhere. Lot more scope for a lot more minutes across squads.

Perhaps, but some managers didn't even bother rotating with 3 so they're not going to start rotating 5.

If they actually cared about player welfare they'd look into reducing the amount of fixtures.

Absolutely they should reduce fixtures. Although not serious, we've just had Jota pull up with a strain for Portugal. Absolute disgrace that they are cramming in 4 Internationals in 10 days after the season has ended, with the new one a month and a half away or so down to the scandalous November World Cup.

But sadly they are never going to downsize games as money and greed dictates.

Very detailed and interesting read.
