Im not spinning it anyway, only in the eyes of the media would it be judged a failure, majority of fans and people connected with the club have nothing but praise for him about his time and effect on the club and german football. Theres shitloads of pieces out there saying as much even the Pep documentary on sky says as much too. Its not a failure at all his time there thats quite a narrow way of looking at it, I'm saying ask the people connected with the club.

Yes he failed to win the Champions Cup but how does that qualify as a complete failure? People will always criticize Pep for his Champions League woes but will fail to acknowledge everything else he has done for the club.

There's always the usual snobbery about Pep (and Jose) in terms of what they have achieved how they go about things, and yet they are indisputably the two best managers in the world.

That Barca team WAS a mess though, anyone watching at the time will remember the complete discord they were in

Incredible how underrated Hynkes was/ is!

So basically we are saying here that anyone could win the Bundesliga and Heynckes is underated becuase he won the treble???

So hang on a minute, Heynckes won fuckall in his first season at Bayern in that spell, runners up in the league, cup and European Cup, oh but anyone can win the bundesliga its easy.

we underate Heynckes and should be given more credit becuase he then went on to win a treble? Pep ripped up Barcelona team got rid of the bad eggs started again, promoted youth players who had been playing the third tier of spanish football. Goes on to win a treble with Barceloan TWICE in what is ultimately a tougher domestic league to win in the Bundesliga also creating the best club side we have ever seen and likely to see in not just mine but many peoples opinion but he aint all that?

#FMBase logic in a nutshell, done with this convo now its boring, like Mike said its somekind of snobbery you lot can carry on

How was that NOT a penalty on Allen?

That would of put Stoke right back in this going into the second half.

LOVING officials FINALLY clamping down on pulling, pushing and holding the area.

If the two correctly given pens this Stoke-City game don't shake teams and players I don't know what will. This keeps up we might well finally get rid of this garbage from our game.

Just frustrating as this should now be 2-2 had the stonewall Allen pen been given. COME ON STOKE!

Fair play to the Mike Dean for both penos. Yeah they are soft, but everyone has been saying pulling etc needs to be clamped down on. Consistent too.

Just wondering what genius at Man city saw the size and power of shawcross and decided that the perfect person to mark him was raheem sterling

Heard good things about this Boufal fella, supposed to be a tricky player. Will be keen to watch him

Chuckling at Leicester fans ..... 'I really hope we get Barcelona. Well fancy a trip there' ..... Not until the knock-outs at the earliest fella'.

They really don't understand how this works do they?

I shouldn't of mocked.

SO envious of Leicester fans right now. Porto, Brugge and Copenhagen are absolutely boss trips. Even if Copenhagen is pricey. Lucky so and so's! I'd of LOVED those.

SO glad I'm not an Arsenal fan. PSG and Basel are two of the worst sets of hooligans in Europe. Be safe there boys. Ludogorets is a 'meh' but at least Sofia is cheap as chips. Just grey and dull.

City I'd be well happy with. Barcelona and Monchengladbach would be boss. And Celtic is a handy one.

Tottenham I'd be mixed on. Moscow's a complete pain in the **** with visa's, distance and cost. Leverkusen and Nice/ Monaco are great trips.

*Note to self. Need to STOP beating self up on lack of European trips this year.
