Morgan in High Demand

It is now approaching the midway point in the season and a period where struggling teams begin to sack managers in the hope of rejuvenating there seasons. Having said that 5 teams have approached me for an interview in the past couple of weeks!

Despite the heightened interest in my services i will be remaining loyal to the Old Gold for the foreseeable future!

The thing is what you will do if an offer from a bigger club comes up? By the way have you ever been offered a place from a Greek team in any of your saves in all version of FM ?

The only club i would consider going to would be Swansea, but even then i doubt i will on this save. I dont think i have ever been offered a job in Greece, although i must admit i dont usually have the Nation as playable (sorry about that :P)

Enjoying seeing you stay in Wales in this one!

Thanks mate - The ultimate aim is to win the Champions League with Carmarthen so could be a long story! haha

Doing well in the league mate, Hopefully you can pinch top spot soon!! Does the Welsh national team effect your coefficient's at all?

Glad you rejected the job interviews mate and hope things start looking up for you in Europe next season!

Thanks mate! Yeah hopefully although TNS are showing no signs of slipping up at the moment so may come down to our head to head matches! I don't think the Welsh National Team effects the coefficients, but i may be mistaken.

Cheers man! Yeah i really need to get past the 2nd qualifying round next time - hopefully 4th time lucky!

So we managed to secure a 2nd seeding for the draw, coming in as the 13th highest ranked side in Europe. This has resulted in us being drawn in a group with England! A fixture that i am really looking forward to. Iceland have the potential to cause us some difficulty, but am confident of finishing at least 2nd, although will be aiming to topple England off top spot!

Our first fixture will be a home tie against England on the 29th of March! Put that one on your calendar!

The Welsh best Eleven was announced at the end of the year, using a formation that i have never actually played. Despite the slight tweak in formation, this is pretty close to what i consider to be my best starting 11.

Aaron Ramsey beat Gareth Bale to Welsh Footballer of the Year. Both players are beginning to hit the peaks of there careers, so will be hoping some younger players can starting pushing through for this award in the next couple of years!

Great Story

Great Story I am hucked.

What tactic do you use clearly works great !!

Thanks mate - Good to hear :).

Have been using a combination of a 4-4-2 and a 4-3-1-2 (Narrow) with Carmarthen and been using a 4-3-2-1 (wide) for Wales. Let me know if you want more info on any of the tactics - wasn't sure which one you were referring to.

December

Well December turned out to be a Happy Christmas for the the Carmarthen faithful, as an unbeaten month puts us on top spot come New Year Day.
TNS slipped up in the final match of the month, to allow us to move 2 points clear. I have mixed the tactics up a bit this month and started using David Edwards as an AMC, to great effect. He is one of the best players at the club and wasn't being utilised enough in midfield.

David Edwards move to AMC resulted in him picking up the Player of the Month Award, scoring 3 goals in 6 games. The form of Edwards and others alike, means that I was finally awarded Manager of the Month for the first time this year, after a 100% winning record.

January is a calmer month, with just 2 games remaining before the league splits. We also have the final of theWord cup to look forward to as we look to win the trophy for the 3rd consecutive year!

Moving Edwards to AMC looks like a masterstroke mate! Well done!

Great decision to maximise the impact of your best player! Definitely in with a shout of winning the league!

Would love to see the 442 and 4312 in detail. Thanks.

Well it took me long enough to realise he would be best suited to playing in his natural position! haha. Had been determined to try stick to a standard lower league style 4-4-2 when I should have been utilising my best players. Lesson learnt.

Yeah hopefully can push on for the League Title now!

Would love to see the 442 and 4312 in detail. Thanks.

Ok - Will probably get them up tonight sometime :)

Honestly Guys....

Job interviews continue to flood in left, right and centre! A number of struggling League 1 sides are keen to acquire my services, with Bolton probably being the biggest name.

It was interesting to see the TNS manager leave for Rochdale and for them to offer me an interview, although am not willing to throw away my hardwork with Carmarthen. He has therefore been replaced with ex-Welsh international Robert Earnshaw. This is his first managerial appointment and will be hoping the managerial switch may throw TNS off form.

Nice work great January, rightfully in demand although that must get annoying

So we managed to retain theWord Cup for a 3rd consecutive year! It didn't turn out to be the most exciting match, played in miserable conditions. We created numerous chances to score throughout the match but failed to convert them, until Veale found the back of the net in the 76th minute.

I would much rather win the League or JD Welsh Cup, but is always nice to add silverware to the Club's history. We are still on course for the treble, which would mark a truly memorable campaign!

We also managed to beat our previous record, scoring 12 goals in theWord Cup this campaign.

January

January was a very quiet month, as the last few games were played before the League split. Despite only having 2 matches, we slipped up in what should have been an easy home match against Afan Lido. We dominated proceedings but could only manage a draw, allowing TNS to draw level with us at the top of the table.

View attachment 189903

Robert Earnshaw's introduction at TNS, doesn't appear to have affected them in there first few matches, as he is awarded Manager of the Month. It is still early days in his managerial career, and will be hoping his lack of experience causes a few slip ups across the remainder of the season.

View attachment 189902

Steve Morison has decided to call an end to his playing career at the end of the season, despite my best efforts to convince him otherwise. He has been a useful addition to the squad this season, although perhaps not as influential as i had originally thought. Hopefully we can find a new striker for next season of similar ability.

February gets a bit busier for us with 6 matches in total. The month ends with a massive fixture away to TNS, a game which we cannot afford to lose. A win for either team in this fixture could decide the Premier League winner.

That's an impressive defensive record. Only conceding 9 goals is a great achievement.
