A great performance in which Capi ran the game from start to finish. If he continues like this he will be the signing of the season. We are all delighted to progress to the next round where we will play Norwich.

Coca Cola Championship Match Day 3
Bristol City 3 - 0 QPR
Goals: Macheda (5) (64) Capi (38) Sproule S/O
MOM: Macheda

Another top notch performance from the team. Macheda was again superb and I am beginning to wonder quite how we managed to get him on loan this season. The fans had a great laugh at former Robins player Sproule get the line.

Coca Cola Championship Match Day 4
Cardiff 1 - 2 Bristol City
Goals: Bothroyd (37) Macheda (11) Muamba (54)

A great result against our rivals. We didn't play particularly well but its all about winning on derby day :D Muamba owned the midfield for the entire game. We have won four out of four league games now and are flying high at the top of the league.

League Cup 2nd Round
Norwich 0 - 0 Bristol City
Norwich win 4-3 on penalties!
MOM: Elliot

How we didn't win this match is beyond me. We had over 20 shots and 60% possession. Even no we rested 11 players we are gutted to lose this match and the gamble to rest the regulars back fired. However our priority is the league and we must move on.

Coca Cola Championship Match Day 5
Bristol City 1 - 1 Middllesbrough
Goals: Macheda (18) Aliadiere (51)
MOM: Aliadiere

A good game which in the end we where lucky to have hung on after dominating the first half. Still a good point against a very good outfit. Macheda scored again to cap and excellent month for him and the club. However he also picked up an injury that will rule him out for up to two months :(

Player Of The Month: Macheda

federico-macheda.jpg

The on loan striker has been nothing short of sensational since his loan move from Utd. Macheda has scored 7 goals in 6 appearances in his first month at the club. However Macheda got injured in his last match and is out for 2 months.

Sitting pretty at the top :D

A Managers View

A great first month for the club in which we have won four out of 5 league games. Our good form see's us sit clear at the top of the league. However we are really disappointed to go out of the Carling Cup at such an early stage. All the new signings have settled in and are all looking good.

We are very pleased with our transfer activity this summer. We managed to hold onto all our top stars and also add some great quality to the squad. You only have to look at the first month which saw Macheda, Capi and Boyd all put in starring performances. I am also delighted that we managed to recoup 1.2 million pound as well. I have also let a couple od young guns join our feeder club Forest Green where they will gain valuable experience. I now hope that we have a balanced squad that can have a successful season on the field.

Capi has made an impressive start

Good luck with this mate !

Hope to see you doing well when I come back from my travels (H)

Cheers mate. Yeah just playing the next month atm so hopefully get it up later and if not will have it up 2morrow :D Cheers for following guys :D

September Update

Coca Cola Championship Match Day 6
Coventry 1-1 Bristol City
Goals: Gray (62) Maynard (82)
MOM: Gray

We played pretty poorly but in the end we where happy with an away point. Maynard came to the rescue late on to spare our blushes. Fair play to Coventry I didn't think they could play as well as they did.

Maynard celebrates the leveler

Coca Cola Championship Match Day 7
Swansea 3-1 Bristol City
Goals: Van Der Gun (2) Kuqi (24) Williams (47) Maynard (72)
MOM: Cotterill

This is as bad as we have played in my time here, we went 3 down an in truth it could have been much more. I have told the lads we must improve for the next game. Swansea where excellent and I can see why they are so high in the table.

The Kuqi Swan Dive

Coca Cola Championship Match Day 8
Bristol City 0-0 Scunthrope
MOM: Coleman

A really poor game that would have put anyone watching to sleep. This result calls for a change in tactic as we look to get our good form back! I was far from happy today :(

Coca Cola Championship Match Day 9
Derby 0-4 Bristol City
Goals: Maynard (24) (35) Boyd (82) McCourt (89)
MOM: Maynard

What a great response! I changed the tactic slightly and made us more defensive and we played on the break and boy did it work. We totally dominated the game and deserved to win by four goals. Next up we have top of the table Blackpool which should be a great game.

Coca Cola Championship Match Day 10
Bristol City 3-0 Blackpool
Goals: McCourt (44) (69) (pen82)
MOM: McCourt

What another great team performance against top of the table Blackpool. McCourt will grab all the headlines and deservedly so but the whole team was excellent. More of the same please :D

Player of the Month: Maynard

Maynard was superb this month. After playing out left for the first month he was asked to move into the middle as Macheda was injured and once he did he was brilliant. A special mention mus go to McCourt who also had a great month.

We had a very bad start to the month but once we changed the tactic we started to perform with 7 goals in two games and 6 points. We must now build on this and we have a very hard game next away to Newcastle. I am also delighted to get Fabio on loan as McAllister is getting on a bit and wont be able to play every game.

Great story, unlucky with macheda but maynard is a great striker in the championship.

Good luck mate; well done on getting George Boyd

Cheers mate. Yea he's a good player but 1.2 odd million for a championship club to pay is big money so lets hope he performs!

Hopefully get the next update done later tonight :D

October Update

Coca Cola Championship Match Day 11
Newcastle 0-1 Bristol City
Goals: Clarkson (90+3)
MOM: Carey

What a result. We where on the back foot for most of the game but got a break right at the end and Clarkson supplied the killer touch. This is a massive 3 points for us and the buzz around the dressing room was something I have never seen before. Everyone at the club can be very proud of this win.

Coca Cola Championship Match Day 12
Bristol City 2-1 Peterborough
Goals: Clarkson (71) Sergi (pen78) Mackail-Smith (62)
MOM: Boyd

We played very poor and got out of jail here. Boyd played really well against his former club and young gun Sergi become the clubs ans championships youngest ever scorer and he is going to have a bright future. Despite the bad performance we pick up another 3 points.

Coca Cola Championship Match Day 13
Bristol City 3-0 Plymouth
Goals: Boyd (38) Maynard (68) Orr (85)
MOM: Orr

Another 3 points but the performance was a lot better. We dominated the game from start to finish and never looked like losing. The highlight was a goal of the season contender from Bradley Orr.

BSn_BradleyOrr_2_UNI0878.jpg

Orr scored a wonder goal

Coca Cola Championship Match Day 14
Bransley 0-0 Bristol City
Sent Off: Muamba (87)
MOM: Dickinson

A really good game that ended 0-0 both teams had chances but in the end it a draw was a fair result. Macheda came on for his first appearance since his injury which is a good sign for the team.

Coca Cola Championship Match Day 15
Bristol City 3-1 Sheff Utd
Goals: Macheda (.6) (42) (pen45) Hinds (76)
MOM: Macheda

A great result that seen the full return of Macheda and the boy responded with a stunning first half hat trick. Another 3 points which see's us have an unbeaten recorded.

Boyd has been in terrific form since his move and this month in particular he has been very impressive and has been well worth the money we paid for him.

A very good month for the club which saw us beat big guns Newcastle at St James's and also only drop two points in 5 games. We are currently 2nd in the league behind Forest and we hope thats where we can stay. Also this month has seen some key members of the first team return such as Capi and Macheda.
